  • This is one of the most sensitive duets I have ever heard. Suman is so sweet and takes the tune up and down so sensitively that one feels that the slightest noise will break the magic. Suman has sung better than lata or asha. Rafi is his usual magical self and any other singer would have ruined the sensitivity. The duet is too short and I wish the composer had given one verse more to rafi and suman. Also note the effortless range given by both.

  • It has been more than decades I have not listened to this song. In fact, this Sunday I went on long drive in the outskirts, many beautiful places came in my way and suddenly I began to hum this song but forgot the words. Finally I succeeded in remembering the words but not knowing singers, lyricists, musicians had difficulty in searching UT. The words are very simple but the voice of Rafi Sb and Suman Jee and music all have made it evergreen. Thank you very very much for this beautiful upload.

  • @Sameer691000 You're very welcome Sameerji, I'm glad you could listen to this song and watch the video on YT, it's sure is a beautiful song. Suhanee

  • Movie: Bedaag (1968)

Cast: Shashikala, Mumtaz, Manoj Kumar, Nanda, Mehmood, Soniya Lee

    Lyrics: Shakeel Badayuni

    Music: Roshan

    Singes: Mohammad Rafi, Suman Kalyanpur

It is sweet and beautiful and naturally liked by viewers. Thanks for making it available.

  • Thank you Suhanee. I was just listening to this ghazal in my car. There came a point when Shakeel Badayuni begn writing for music directors other than Naushad. He wrote 5 out of 6 songs for this film. Though under-rated, I'd say this is one of the most beautiful ghazals penned by Shakeel.
