@joyous292 GR8 that ur interested, just seen ur comment and from biker to biker i'd recommend you getting urself and ur 600 on a few trackdays to get to know YOUR limits and not commit the errors of so many dickheads that go out there thinkin that there John Mc Guiness or the likes..Safe riding and get those trackdays under ur belt first.

Taking it to redline is not wrong. Trying to take it "deep into the red' (i.e beyond the rev limiter) is: because power if falling off at that poitn (look at any dyno chart) and you risk blowing the engine. Is that simple enough for you to understand?

On this bike at 11,000 whist shifting down you should hit the red.

Who knows?

Just bikes dont have rev limit like cars do.

You wont hit the red from downshifting at 11k...

a) the redline is 13750

2) the ratios are extremely close and you are typically braking and slowing the bike down when downshifting.

That means you can rev it far and beyond the red line and the 15,000 that the bike claims.

If you rode a bike to the envolpe in your life youd know on the change down you hit deep into the red.

Who told you that they dont have a limiter? Of course they do... at least my R1 does..... which comes into play on upshifts only. If you were to downshift an R1 and hit 15k rpm, you are asking to blow a motor. There is no benefit to downshifting and puttting the bike deep into the red. You downshift only to put yourself in the powerband to accelerate out of the turn. I dont think you know what you are talking about.

It'd be MPH, the coned section at the start of the video has a speed limit of 50mph, and in first gear, he's reading about 106 on the speedo just before he changes into 2nd.
