Even if 'toning' isn't a technical term, surely we all know what is meant by it? If you exercise regularly, eat well, you won't necessarily get defined muscles.. I have found that light weight work such as this works wonders for toning/defining areas that are otherwise just a 'blob' of skin. I don't really care what the 'science' says, these exercises work for me and that is all the proof I need. The key is consistency and combining with healthy fresh food and exercise. Pretty simple really.

There is a difference between soft muscle and fat. This will work if the muscle is soft, but if it's fat, the only way to tone those arms (or the rest of your body) is through a fatloss diet and/or cardio exercise.

I got firmer biceps in a few days after doing it daily for like two weeks... i noticed it didn't do much for the triceps, or coz it'll take longer or the weights would do something for it, or i just suddenly became lazy... These exercises are great, but what she should have explained in the beginning is that if you exercise one muscle you need to exercise the opposing muscle, which means exercise your triceps you should exercise your biceps.
@LilRed3331 you need to isolate that muscle when you are doing it. you need to actually feel the tricep doing the work, a lot of people don't just use the tricep they use their legs to help their butts raise which automatically raises the body therefore has no effect in the area that needs toning. Lower yourself as she says then concentrate on your hands to push you up instead. Therefore you use your triceps.
@EmilyTheStrangeXD1 Try putting some padding on your knees. It should help a bit, but if your knee is really bad that one exercise might be bad to do.

This videos never explain WHY you "tone" your arms. Everybody should know the difference between muscle, fat, water and skin. These are the elements that modify the volume and the density of the body.

@mahcatiscool there is not such a thing as woman or guy exercises...female and male body almost work the same. working out with your bodyweight work wonders. the first exercise, is actually called triangle pushups, if u're a guy, your muscles and your strengh (say thx to ur testosterone) should allow u to skip the ball and the resting on your knees. if you have difficulty doing regular pushups, it's ok to start building your core muscles using the beginner variation (namely resting on ur knees)
@mahcatiscool as for the last exercice, it's called tricep dips. you'll see lots of guys doing it at the gym. Except that they use the advance form. upper body resting on a bench, extend fully your legs in front of you, weight should be on the heels,and start to dip. if it's too hard it's okay to do it with bent knees, just like this fine lady. just make sure you respect the proper form and stretch before and after ur workout or you'll put unnecessary strain on your elbows.

This videos never explain WHY you "tone" your arms. Everybody should know the difference between muscle, fat, water and skin. These are the elements that modify the volume and the density of the body.

did it for the first time and boy did my arms feel the work out! something fun and "easy" work out that my flabs surely feel threatened! haha i shall post within a month if it worked.................

@mahcatiscool there is not such a thing as woman or guy exercises...female and male body almost work the same. working out with your bodyweight work wonders. the first exercise, is actually called triangle pushups, if u're a guy, your muscles and your strengh (say thx to ur testosterone) should allow u to skip the ball and the resting on your knees. if you have difficulty doing regular pushups, it's ok to start building your core muscles using the beginner variation (namely resting on ur knees)

@mahcatiscool as for the last exercice, it's called tricep dips. you'll see lots of guys doing it at the gym. Except that they use the advance form. upper body resting on a bench, extend fully your legs in front of you, weight should be on the heels,and start to dip. if it's too hard it's okay to do it with bent knees, just like this fine lady. just make sure you respect the proper form and stretch before and after ur workout or you'll put unnecessary strain on your elbows.

you can not burn fat at a specific part of the body. she is building her triceps and that will just make it more flabby.
if you really want the results the title says, you have toburn calories and eat less / healthier.
it is not her fault, she just doesnt know how to workout to get the results she is aiming for.
