True, they might be like 3 feet away ( the pins ), but i could do that Forever and never get tired of it! I saw the ball return just stays flat to the floor. You need something like bowling alleys have, where the ball goes into the ball holder, so you don't have to bend over & over to get the ball. I plan on making a homemade bowling lane out of 3/4" thick wood sheets that Home Depot sells. It'll be 30 feet long & with a ball return. Hoping to make it under 100 bucks.
@fh1564838 A used as is Brunswick A-2 pinsetter today cost between $1,000 to $2,500 each so you don't have to be nearly super rich to buy one. I bet this entire set up cost under $3,000 to put in their garage... If I'm not mistaken this is in Minnesota...???
I would still take a vintage Brunswick original"A"pinsetter in a heartbeat. There are only a handful of bowling houses that have pre A-2 pinsetter units.
replying @ tyman43, AMF and brunswick have different type of pinsetters, this is brunswick A-2 pinsetter, because you can see the bottom part of the pins, and you can barley see the A-2 on the front of the pinsetter, while the AMF 82-90 pinsetters you can see the whole pins as they come down and set the pins for you, and on top of that, the pin(s) get hung up on the A-2 pinsetters a lot, i see that happens a lot during the new year bowling night
@fanofCOH The Brunswick A-2 never cost that much, a brand new Brunswick GSX is only $12,999 and dsade is way off about an 82/70 costs. the highest the 70 ever saw was when they were in big demand and a used one brought around $9,000. At best today a good used A-2 is around $2500-$3000 and a good used 82/70 is around $3000-$6000 and as far as an 82/30 though a workhorse you couldn't give them away other than for parts... How do I know this? I own several bowling centers, check out my channel...
hell yeah i wish i had a A2 at my house like that only thing missing was a pit curtain. How did you do the ball return system tho? I seen the lift rod but how did u make it go up the side of the lane
wow people are so pathetic. I'm sorry no one is as good as you at bowling maybe you'll just have to teach the world how to bowl. you know you could start a profession if your that good.
Several years ago, Brunswick trotted out a short bowling lane like this that they had on a trailer, taking it around to promotional events on behalf of local bowling centers. So I guess you can get a lane built of this length (or any length). But judging from the makeshift ball return track, I'm guessing that someone bought some spare parts and built this themselves, rather than having Brunswick do it for them. Very cool, IMO.
No offense. But this is sad. I'm a decent bowling fan. I go once a week actually. But... this.. this is blasphemy. It's like chaining a deer to a tree, and then shooting it from 5 feet away and calling it "hunting".
what a waste
