Vote to have Keith Whitley inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame...put this in your search engine and it will take you to the site...HE should be there...I will always want to hear his music...Rest in Peace Keith.....
My local radio station played "Don't Close Your Eyes" a couple days ago, the first time I've ever heard them play a song by a deceased artist. I really wish they would play more of Keith Whitley, and Clint Black, and other great singers. Some of that new stuff they play sounds more like Carrie Underwood's "Undo It" than actual country music. Thumbs up if you're like me and want to hear more "tears 'n beers" songs like this on the radio.

This man could touch your heart like no other. He spoke my love language every step of the way. Made me know I was not alone, and that love can't kill us only break us for awhile. Paul Rudolph May 13, 1948 Long live his memory.
One of the best singers that sang from the heart with such passion and a voice as smooth as silk. Why oh why do so many of the very talented go so young??
I can' t even start to express how I feel about Keith Whitley........what a singer and what a loss this was for country music.....I love him and always will
a true Keith Whitley fan would know that Lorrie loved Keith and Keith loved Lorrie!!! It's people talkin' smack about other people in the 1st place that causes addictions...IF ANYONE IS TO BLAME IT'S THE MEDIA FOR THE LIES!!! The poor woman tears up everytime they used to interview her...She blamed herself but couldn't get out of her music contracts w/o getting sued and she begged her management to not make her go on tour during that time...Blame her fkn Label...
Before Rehabs and treatment, intervention the only thing left was
A.A. and hospitals and not many hospitals accepted drunks. I knew a pastors wife that locked her husband in the bed room until he came out sober and that was the best she knew to do. Note: he died a drunk too.
I don't post my opinion on much but I will say this -Lorrie will have to live with herself and I don't think that will bother her because that's just the way she is.Keith had his problems too but he was true inside. She will never hurt him again.
@RyleZach bull. he drank she is not responsible for that. he was great but self destructive. to blame her is so unfair---she loved him much they both had careers not her fault he killed himself
I wish people would get their facts straight of what went on between Keith & Lorrie, but the media will get people with their lies & FUD every time I guess!
My fave song from "AHA2F!" This is so rare! He hardly ever sang this live! I'm crying all over myself. I don't know how I'm going to get through this day. I guess the same way I got through the last 18 May 9th's, I suppose.
