@mac707deep Yep! Go buy the Ipad Camera connector, it comes with one attachment that reads SD cards and another that connects USB to your digital camera. Then upload directly onto the Ipad. Really cool for on location. Check out more information at our online video series "Photosodes"
I had the same impression about the iPad, that it was a bit weightier than I'd expected. I wanted to mention about using the iPad as a preview device. I've seen several videos where you can shoot and have the preview display on the iPad through an Eye-fi card and shuttersnitch app. I think that would be very useful especially to preview and also client can see result of the shoot in real-time. I'm however holding out for iPad 2 with the Retina display should look even better.
The name of the company that makes monitors is Planar. They have models that rotate to a landscape profile which is great for headshots and portraits. Cheers!
I knew this would be unsatisfying when he said that little packaging was good for the environment. OMG. They shipped 5 million of these things this year. Good for the "environment" would be canceling the entire product and saving 5 million boxes. Good grief. With that mentality, the best thing you could do to "save the environment" is to off yourself immediately. Think how much energy you would save if you did that!
