1) PPl tend to percieve that ppl from newcastle are thick because of the dialect,but geordie is about as close as you can get to the original saxon dialect of england before normany invaded so you can't get more english than that.

I know there are two big problems with doing this;

1. Pete Townshend is not a Geordie.

2. Copyright infringment laws!

Peter...It's a fantastic city, and the Geordies are wonderful people! This July will be my 3rd visit to NCL, and I still haven't seen everything! TONS TO SEE, EAT, AND DO! The Newcastle Burbs, in any direction, are very beautiful (i.e. Jesmond, Whitley Bay, Tynemouth, Alnwick, Whickham). Enjoy the discoveries here!

I don't like football and hence I am not bothered by the newcastle-sunderland rivalry; I love my home city of Sunderland, but when you see this video, it really makes me wish that it was as good as Newcastle.

Regarding both places I'd rather they were friendly with each other rather than having a hatred of each other; because both places have a passion which the south does not have. You can feel welcome in newcastle or sunderland, it's very lonely in London ;)
