The only way Xbox Live would ever be cheap is if PSN caught up to it and was as good as Xbox Lives is. If microsoft saw the sony's psn was better than their live they would reduce the price or make it free. I highly doubt Xbox live Gold will ever be free though.

-Xbox has custom soundtracks for ANY game, PS3 does not
-Xbox you can cross game chat (private chat & party), ps3 does not
-Both Xbox 360 and PS3 have hardware issues like RROD and YLOD, so none of them are immune to breaking down
-PS3 you can buy any SATA 2.5 Laptop HDD to upgrade or w/e
-Xbox 360 you have to buy official HDD which is a bit shit really

i have both but now tha psn servers are getting better and better everyday plus the video marketplace there is only a rent option where as on ps3 there is a rent/own option plus since all the 360 "exclusives" are coming to pc there's no point to have a 360.....nonetheless i still own one but ive had 3!!! because of shitty hardware I'm still on my 1st ps3 that i got on november 17 2006 (release date)

Way I see it all my 360 "exclusives" are either timed or better on the PC (that's right their ALL on PC) PS3 on the other hand is more powerful, has ACTUAL exclusives, doesn't red ring... usually, and has free online. I know a lot of people say that 360 is better for friends but the only people on 360 seem to be *ssholes or little kids so why would I want to be friends with them? Don't get me wrong I'm not bashing 360, it's given me some good times, but it's not for me anymore.

1) Don't be a flamer. 2) Not everyone has the same taste in games as you (I personally hate halo) 3) Not to be a fanboy but the PS3 is crushing the 360 in terms of exclusives considering all 360 "exclusives" are either timed or also released on the PC. While the PS3 (once again I'm not a fanboy) has titles too large and too powerful to be released on the 360 or most PCs. Once again support whoever you want but to me and many others the PS3 makes more sense (and yes I own and love both of these)

Here's an idea, Why don't we all just go and play our respective consoles and enjoy it?...hmmm? any takers? We can argue about which is better for the next decade but the simple fact is...some of us prefer 360, some of us prefer PS3 and, god forbid, some people even buy the Wii, but we bought them because that is what we wanted, If you love PS3, fair enough I respect that descision, go and play Killzone 2, resistance etc and I hope you enjoy it, they look like excellent games, i just prefer 360.

I agree. I also have a 360, but I respect PS3 users. I am very happy paying for XboxLive because the community is amazing, and there's a lot of new content every week. Video gaming is just for entertainment, but some people take this rivalry way far, and worse, they defend their consoles with their own lives. Silly. Wii is a great console, since it was designed especially for family enjoyment. That's very nice, why critizise it ?

The only way Xbox Live would ever be cheap is if PSN caught up to it and was as good as Xbox Lives is. If microsoft saw the sony's psn was better than their live they would reduce the price or make it free. I highly doubt Xbox live Gold will ever be free though.
