Someone should teach them how to "do" the procession if they want traditional Catholic worship. Thurifer, then crucifer. Only the presiding bishop or diocesean ordinary walks with the crozier, and I am pretty sure mitres are removed for the veneration of the altar. If it is a synod or not, the non-ordained are usually present in some capacity. If it is an ordination there must be lay people present to give the peoples' acclamation that the candidate is worthy.
the reformed catholic church is a catholic church while has not ties with rome. It practices catholic tradition. There bishops are also referred to as wondering because they aren't really in charge of a diocese because it is not held together by a governing body like the roman catholic church.
Awesome, I am going to start attending one of these churches when I move closer to one next year. Because of this, and I feel that the Catholic Church is returning to its older, more Conservative ways. In my diocese, they forced all women who were serving as pastoral coordinators to resign, even though we had had ours, who is a nun, for 20 years. They also forced out our Priest of 10 years, who everyone loves (he is very liberal) and replaced him with a MARRIED priest!
I see not catholics.
