  • Beautiful tune. I remember this in the summer of 1990 when I left school and got into to music. Took mainstream music for granted back then but a lot of it was sooooooo damn inspirational and good! Sitting up late "listening" to MTV when it was a MUSIC station.

How sad the the pop culture of today has descended into mind numbing vacuous dross! Fire up the time machine!

  • @bedfordcrusader wannit? LOL!

  • @bedfordcrusader I agree totally

  • I actually did a school assembly using this. I managed to get all the old timers on the staff to stand up. What no one told me was that the Head of PE and French had put together a dance routine! OMG! Brought the house down. All I did at the end was say If only I could! I then sat down. Well done Mrs Jackson!

  • 32 people don't want the world to be a better place... losers!

  • god i've forgotten about this song - oh the memeries

  • great tune + great words = great song :-)

  • Steve Walker - this is our song and long shall I remember!!!!

  • IO THE PRINCE OF cAPO sAN mARTINO!!!

  • He looks nothing like I expected! I was expecting someone much older, based on the voice.

Juss like you were lookin at your pics when you was bout 5 and thinkin like 'wtf i was wearin', well, same gonna happen in 20 years lookin at your todays pics 'damn i was ugly', the truth is, you still ugly. So, it ain't nuin wrong with 90's, they were the best. CUZ ONLY SICK MUSIC MAKES MONEY TODAY.

  • @Mulder5151 Ah, yes!

  • I was out clubbin to this track in 1989....... fantastic times.

  • I was 15 in 1989 and loving this. Wow, I actually knew my shit!

  • oh wow, lovin it lovin it.

  • if people listend to this song instead of crap like lady gaga and justin beiber the world would be a better place

  • @skynett1000 here here

  • @skynett1000 Given the choice between those two "crappy" artists, I'd very much rather listen to Lady Gaga. Even longtime fans of Britney Spears would think Justin Bieber is crap!

  • @skynett1000 I could not agree more!

  • @skynett1000 Best comment ever!

  • Cool clothes !! :-)

  • One of my favourite dance tunes from this era.......:D :D :D :D :D

  • As long as he made an awful lot of money for the men behind the original with this obvious homeage I have no problems with this pleasant song.

  • Hello, hello Thanks

  • This came on the radio this morning... totally blew me away as it did on its release... toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnneeesss!!

  • Great how the backing track sounds so like Raze "Break for Love"...classic mix potential

  • only god can judge we world peace to you all love and be loved

  • Nice to hear an 808 drum machine again...

  • I remember this song best when travelling from Lisbon to Porto on a high speed Alfa train. One of the soldiers in my compartment was playing this on his ghetto blaster. They were good polite lads:-)))

  • Oh man , in meiner Jugend...geiler Song!!!

  • We have shedloads of good voices, yet Simon Cowell thinks we need to flood the market with lesser talents. Fuck him and fuck all that support him.

  • Listen to Sydney

  • What ever happened to this guy. That song is fantastic. A takent

  • I think the beat was originally from Break 4 Love

    watch?v=CQyJWlSMCdo&feature=related

    was it stolen or something?

  • @AconteceuNaBerlenga sure was and wat a tune that was :0)

  • Still sounds good today.

  • let make this world a good world we live in peace

  • best best

  • 22 years later still a beautiful track, love it!

  • Great song, but... Sydney Youngblood was in the US-armed forces stationed in Germany at the time. If only he could what? have left the military, right? What an ass. "Fighting for peace" -> oh how my grandfather would have kicked his butt for that oxymoron.. Just like Franky Gee (Captain Jack), Turbo B (Snap), Captain Hollywood (More and more and more what? Weapons?), Terence Trent D’Arby, Culture Beat and many more were all German based US-marines or soldiers etc.

  • Como me gustaria saber quien fue el/los PELOTUDOS que votaron negativo ???

  • OMG ! i was in europe at the time this stuff came out. love it!!!!

  • omg i totally forgot about this song :( what was i thinking, brainwashed by todays pop crap.....classics like these will forever live on i feel sorry for the kids of today! im onpy 25 but i know good music when i see it

  • @mancminx2 Amen to that, girl!

  • @mancminx2 totally agree there

  • @mancminx2 If we can encourage widespread illegal downloading maybe, as they claim, that will destroy today's music industry and its shallow, bland, synthetic mishmash of derivative cloned, vapid, tedious emptiness. The only artists that remain will be the real talent who do it for love and passion not for the fame and filthy lucre. There must be some way to undermine the populist tosh they churn out like curds and whey.

  • @Steerpike07 reading your comment a few names came to me n i have to say back in response, althou i dont condone illegal downloading i agree something has to be done im sick of listening to auto-tuned manufactured crap thats playing on the radio hour after hour etc... and talentless ppl in the press for what there wearing day in day out, im sure u know who im talking about =D

  • @mancminx2 That's what I'm talking about!

  • @mancminx2 Yeah but then us as kids will grow up with the music we have today.. and tastes change:)

  • @mancminx2 totally spot on, its easy to forget with all the shit about these days, this is class

  • @ death2hiphopnRnB.. The clothes??! haha! That was the acid/house style to wear in the late 80's! many peoples used to dress like that in the club/house scene in Europe!!

  • war das klasse!!!

  • The sound of my childhood!

  • The clothes?....it was still the eighties darling.......

  • An 80s classic.Such a bright and inspirational song.Love it.

  • high level masons like young blood.

  • @LoveJoyPeaceComfort Is he a Freemason? Gaddafi & Ahmadinejad are supposed to be such.

  • @G0IMB he must be a freemason, the all are in e music industry. Chck out my all-seeing eye video.

  • @G0IMB they all are.

  • @LoveJoyPeaceComfort Wondered what gave them their breaks?!! The rest of us are just breaking wind in the face of this rigging.

  • @LoveJoyPeaceComfort But people power can defeat these buggers. Look at the Gulag Strikers and then the Protesters against Chernobyl in the Soviet Enclave. Tolerate No Shit. Zero Tolerance on our part is the solution.

  • @G0IMB It's a bigger agenda than that unfortunately. Freemasonry is a religion. And the battle is for your soul. It's not really about the politics of the new world order. The moment you are lifted out of your flesh, when your day of testing comes, it will be ENTIRELY a spiritual matter of who wins, Satan or Christ. Make no mistake, it is a spiritual war. And the day of the LORD comes like thief in the night. i never saw it coming... But Jesus Christ won in my case.

  • @LoveJoyPeaceComfort Well the Rochdale Lodge mentions the only qualifying criterion is "believing in a "supreme being"". But what is that? A God? A Fallen Angel?. An overrated Narcissist living on Earth? I'll aspire to better by trying to educate those around me. I wonder how far you got in the Masonic Hierarchy?

  • i ***LOVE*** those clothes.

  • 1987 in The Netherlands ! I got the CD-SINGLE on 3" CD :-) !

  • isn't it nice to hear a song about nice stuff instead of killing and rooting people!!

  • Do you not mean looting

  • When and if I'm gonna be 100yrs.old I'm still gonna shake my shoulders and my foot is gonna tap the rythmmmmmmm ... yes sir ... hmmm.

I enjoy this very much :-)

    Wonderful sound here...tks. alot :-)

  • doze crazy dutch! he was great

  • This backing track on this was first used by Raze - Break for love do a search its class

  • The clothes...the early dance scene had some shocking clothes!

The basketball...it's metaphorical man, it represents this world, which, if he could, he'd make into a better place!

  • pete waterman made him wear the clothes , no doubt...lol

  • this makes the world a better place !

  • that beat is f##king awesome!

  • @DjMoTowNakaMikey Check out Raze - Break 4 Love, a House classic which this ripped off

  • @liferasta1 yeah, i know that track... but i cant play the song that much in my house, because of the SEX sounds

  • @DjMoTowNakaMikey Isn't it though?...That beat is taken from 'Break 4 Love' by the Pet Shop Boys - you have AWESOME taste in beats : ) - Check out the Pet Shop Boys 'Break 4 Love' track on YouTube: I'm certain you will like it just as much as this song : )

  • @RogerLSanchez How can you dare say this beat was the PSB's???? It is from Break for Love by RAZE 1988. If you don't know your music don't leave offensive comments!!!

  • @7ModernLifeIsKak2 Umm, wow...How the heck was my comment offensive?...It's funny to know that you take offense to mistakes about music (of all things)...Yes, I had my artists backward, but check out Wikipedia and search for 'Break 4 Love'...As you can see both RAZE and PSB hit number one with that song at different times...As those closest to you might say, 'calm down man'...

  • @RogerLSanchez Fair enough it's just that over here in Blighty people of my generation tend to hold 'Break 4 Love' in high regard. The same cannot be said about the PSB's! Even this tune was dissed by the general populace. My comment was 'tongue in cheek', I've seen enough of people slagging each other off on YT to last me several lifetimes! PEACE

  • I love this song, great music 89
