    that's what the

book is called with his info in,

it has all the classic guys helpin-

to document the art of emceeing

  • Long.......Live.......The......Kane.

  • Now who flat-top rules in '89!!!

  • Where is Scrap Lover?

Kane = GOAT. I'd love to hear Kane and Rakim on a song just once. Their rivalry could've been the best ever had it been more direct.

  • ti sucks as hell and black thought made ti look like a clown.

  • damn! hahaha! ill!!!

  • Kane killed it common and black thought was on point.

  • He was one who really perfected using the R&B sample on a rap record

  • COMMON?! WOOOOOO...(I know...I know...I'm way late...lol)

  • Kane is the King of Rap!. and he has still got it with the moves.

I thought he was going to kick off mans head.

  • None of the current MC's can hold a candle to Big Daddy Kane. He is The Wordsmith Supreme!

  • ya se como se llama la cancion culeros !!!!!!! es smooth operator ..... en ingles o español viva el hip hop .

  • what is a song of 0:37 , i am mexican and i like its song . pero no la encuentro como ce llama ? whats your name of the song

  • Bold...Style...Intelligence...Uniqueness...Real...Pride...Sex Appeal...Skill...Rawness...Everlasting. That is the great BDK period. Seeing this you can't help but separate the boys from the MEN! I miss the time of 'the man' and not just in rap/hip-hop but just in general in our community. Long live BDK!

  • I think Hip Hop needs backing dancers brought back to put an end to the gun talk shit Hip Hop....I miss those days when it was ok to dance to Hip Hop

  • he ripp it. wow

  • This is the 1st time i have seen this clip and already I have watched this clip!!! wow!! When you see this and compare it to the garbage that is out today, "artist" should be ashamed to even release the shit they come out with today!! Big Daddy Kane can teach these lost rappers that there is more to "rapping" than bitches and hoes and drug dealing and prison!! Kane never been to prison! I wanna know where hes touring!!

  • We'll find out more about BDK on TVOne's "Unsung"

  • I am SO proud of him. He has skills that are still making us move to this date!

  • I guarantee Black Thought was influenced by Kane! He killed his verse too. BTW there is a person named DrizzyDrakeisGod who left the comment "garbage". Please give this person the bidness. This is pure HipHop on every level in any era. I'm not even gonna comment to the dude, i'm too angry! Long Live the Kane!

  • @TheCardsfan2 Black Thought has been doing an impression of Kane for years. Every once in a while Thought will do a verse in Kane tyle that will make you believe that Kane is making a guest appearence on a Roots cut. Thought is definately one of the most slpt on MCs in the game and in my opinion Kane is the greatest of all time

  • Holy shit.....i think I shat in my pants.

  • OMFG THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!

  • Hip Hop is dead! Good lyrics, good music, good djs, good times are gone!!

  • @sasdavis fuck out of here you herb how is the culture of HIPHOP dead. there still raw emcees out there still raw bboys still writers bombing stilll djs diggin and cutting WITH VINYL.

k-os said it the best "HIPHOPs not dead its really the mind of the emcee"

  • @DrizzyDrakeIsGod if you really believe that, then I would say that your opinion isnt even worth a lump of shit!! Have a nice day!

  • Best Vh1 perfomance ever.....period.. No disrespect T.I. but black thought just made you look silly, hard to follow, common was just the nail in the coffin, and then Daddy nailed it, of course. Your still comin out new and hard, but dang son, you could not touch those dudes with anything, and you tried, keep doing yo thang, but if you ever come up in a list above any of them, people are tripping, by a landslide, your out done, and always will be, you"ll just have more reginiton, it's weird.

  • Best Vh1 perfomance ever.....period..

  • @aliquippawill - Yoru comment is worth repeating except youtube won't give me enough characters to copy and past it here.

  • Kane G.O.A.T. Period! If you diagree you weren't listening.

  • Man I love this!!!

  • THIS. IS. HIP-HOP.

  • THE BEST HIP HOP HONORS PERFORMANCE EVER ...PERIOD!!

  • TI almost screwed this up.

  • @TWORUSTYGUNS

    i agree

  • If you DON'T get chills when watching this you are not HIPHOP!

  • Kanes Flat top still rulez in 2011.

  • @TWORUSTYGUNS

    word

  • This is my second fav performance next to Lupe and busta and them honoring A tribe called quest

  • Comment removed

  • This performance is just exhilarating, everytime I watch it im just full of energy. Big Daddy Kane always knew how to put on a great performance and keep the crowd captivated. Black thought, common and T.I all did a good job but black thought stood out .

  • Along with Kool Moe Dee, KRS 1 & Chuck D., Kane brought something to Hip-Hop that few people speak on........INTELLIGENCE. I realize how easy it was to get totally blindsided by his overall MIC skills, but this brother had the knack of articulating the English language while spittin incredibly dope rhymes as well as any Human Being who has ever participated in the world of Hip-Hop. As he prooves in this video, if you're truly blessed with a "gift"........only God himself can take it away. Peace.

  • @aliquippawill Great comment! Well said!

  • I once spoke with a brother over the phone, many years ago in my capacity as a support rep. He kept using this words in the course of our conversation, "Its cool to be a brother". After watching performances like this, and a host of others, he certainly knew what he was talking about. I pay homage to all the Ol` Skoolers!

  • Wow.

  • The performance by Black Thought was one of the best performances that I've ever seen! He had pratically everyone in the audience, including other rappers capivated!

  • I like how Pepa got up in a manner like: Do ya think, boy!!!!

  • I listen and listen again... Music with QUALITY, this sounds make me happy, my body dont stop. Thx all you.

  • @emillerbr Bom saber que ate ai no Brasil Big Daddy Kane eh conhecido. O cara eh demaissssss

  • He got everyone in that place hyped, anyone see LL rhyming all his lines in the backgroumd

  • Aspiring MC's....please note how Kane had the entire crowd in the palm of his hands...that's called a Master of Ceremonies.

  • the love everybody in the audience shows for BDK is overwhelming. i add mine here hoping to be part of his live audience one day. long live the Kane

  • mind = blown

  • You wanna know why 40 year old rappers are still relevant???? See Above!
