i have a theory, that the gman from hl1 and hl2 are two differet gmen. first off, the hl1 gman is invincible, and while this was simply to keep the player from killig him, he also has a slightly different suit, and his suitcase has the black mesa symbol. tthe hl2 gman doenst have that symbol, and at the beginning intro you see the black mesa office at the beginning. could there be more than one gman?

what if G-man is Gordon or is like a crazy clone of some sort with the same DNA? What's the first letter in Gordon? Think about it, every time G-man shows up, it's when Gordon needs help the most, or even just a little guidance. Just a crazy thought, but it sure would shock the shit out of me if that was case and was revealed in Episode 3! It's almost like he is trying to subliminally tell Gordon something, or piece together an epic story!

1. An advisor is a government body of the combine aliens

2. he delivered the sample to black mesa (possibly to open a portal)

4. As you sight the g-man, you see him with as much frequency as the advisor.

- Another Portal from Borealis would open, creating another black mesa acident (just like eli said "not another black mesa")

-Dr Breen shows up and kills either Gman, Gordon or Alyx (He could have survived as he was still on the shield on half life 2 ending)

- Something happens with the borealis stuff and huge tentacles appear on Earth and the true creature hidden on the pits is revealed.

Okay, so here's what I think SHOULD happen.

After episode 2, there should be an Episode 3, made with the Source engine again.

Then after that, Valve will will wrap it all off with Half Life 3, with a whole new Engine, perhaps Platinum Source or something like that. (Half-Life 1 ran on Gold Source).

Borealis contains a project, which Aperture Science devellopet for a new type of teleportation. It was supposed to break a runway between Earth and Xen, but if the Combine gets their claws in that project, it may conjure a new invation of combine troops.

Though if the humans get it, it maybe assist the resistance to clear a new timeline for Half-Life. Maybe destroy the compound that was used in the resonance cascade? Maybe it involves killing G-man? Who knows?

The statement "Prepare for unforeseen consequences"was told already before the resonance cascade (in older versions of series) which eventually brought catastrophe, thats why eli gets shocked to oblivion when alyx tells the same statement again, which is followed by Eli's advice to gordon freeman at the doorway while alyx is outside so that she doesn't know about the conversation. This doesn't refer to Eli's death but the upcoming things which would be more severe at borealis.

Maxiart, the G-man did refer to Ell's death. Otherwise, Alyx would not have said "Dad". Since she said, "Dad, prepare for unforeseen consequences." she was specifically talking to her father. So indeed, the G-man knew what was going to happen, since the G-man is somewhat of a time traveler.

I think the G-man is referring to Eli's death. It makes a lot of sense, as the G-man made it clear that Alyx wouldn't've survived had he not helped (in some unexplained way). I think the idea is, for Alyx's recovery, the consequence is Eli's death. I don't see any other reasonable explanation, though I can understand doubting it. Any other guesses, anyone?

With another Black Mesa they probably mean that the Borealis might contain something that could make another Resonance Cascade and open a new portal to Xen and probably lead Combine back to Earth again. Just my opinion anyway.

And Unforeseen Consequences was the 1st level in Half Life. It's probably related to the Resonance Cascade that happened in the 1st Half Life. Eli sais something about the G-Man a bit later this scene.
