  • I heard how Jesus changed other people's lives and I wanted it too.I was a lying stealing cheating arrogant sexually immoral drug-addicted jerk.I knew I was bad and wanted to be good.I asked Jesus to take control of my life;I had made a mess of it.He came and purified my thought-life and heart.I believe the Son of God died for my sins and rose again. Understanding His love I trust Him and give Him control of my life. He transformed me into a new person.Never knew joy like this was possible.

  • Haha. I'm Christian and I agree with 90% of what you said. We are not perfect, I apologize for those of us that think they are better than everyone else. We are not. Christians in this country do not have the right to claim persecution. Christians enjoy more religious freedom in this country than any country ever has in history. A lot of us are self-righteous crybabies, I admit it. Please don't hold it against all of us. The good ones love you and pray for you.

  • "Christians persecuted in America" LMFAO that is the funniest joke. In reality its Christians persecuting in America.

  • 8 million kids under 5 years of age, who will die this year of diseases are not intrested in Religion or who's god is best.

    DISEASE IS NOT MAN MADE!

  • ROFL nice one

  • SERIOUSLY TYPE IN "SILENT NIGHT FOR CHRISTIANS" IN THE YOUTUBE SEARCH BAR TO SEE THE PERSECUTION IN OTHER NATIONS.

  • @GodlyWomenOfTruth I specified "American Christians" in the video for a reason.

  • @GodlyWomenOfTruth yes persecution does exist, but oddly they suffer it like real christians have for millenia. Only americans cry persecution, and for no good reason at all. Getting called names is not persecution. In fact, Id bet virtually all american christians dont have the first clue of what real persecution is.

  • @GodlyWomenOfTruth And you'll also find the Christians persecuting people in other nations too. Such a shame your secular country is trying to be taken over by religious dictatorship that is Christianity. Your founder fathers would be ashamed.

  • @Algonquin81

It is really annoying. Somehow people have been convinced that we need to go back to the roots of our country, the constitution. The only problem with that is that they seem to forget that the first amendment is designed to protect us from crazy fundamentalists that want to turn this country into a theocracy. And it’s impossible to reason with them because they belief above reason. Please help! =P

  • @CrimsonVoid Im not even American, Im Canadian. The thing is not only do I feel for the American's who not what true freedom means, I worry about how the rest of the world will be treated under a Christian Theocracy that might be the US government.

  • @Algonquin81

Exactly. If we can't stop it here then who knows what will be next. I already feel that shows like Jersey Shore are exported out of this country. Nobody should have that shit forced on you.

But, to be fair, I don’t think it’s a really big threat yet. I’d like to believe that most Americans realize that injecting religion into the government would be bad for the country and the religion. However, the fact that so many republican candidates seem to be pro-theocracy does scare me.

  • @CrimsonVoid It may not be a huge threat yet, which is why people need to act now before it becomes one. I have no problem if people want to be religious. People have every right to believe what they want to believe, but they dont have the right to force it onto others. Religion belongs in the home and church. It needs to stay out of education, politics, and the courts.

  • @Algonquin81

I'm trying to do my part to help. I'm educating myself about the issues and trying to spread that knowledge. But it can be really hard. They use their freedom of religion and freedom of speech as an excuse to not have to learn. And we really aren't allowed to question people's faith. I hope that a lot of this will die out with the older generation, to be honest.

Do you guys run into this much up there? And do these issues make Americans look as stupid as I fear they do?

  • @CrimsonVoid 70 percent of Canadians claim some sort of christianity. 16 percent are Atheist. Jews and muslims are around the 2 percent mark. But no, religion is pretty much kept to itself. Pray was taking out of school almost 30 years ago "with the exception of catholic schools. It's kept out of politics and the courts. You dont even have to swear to the bible if you're under oath.

  • If anyone from the UK reads this,

please sign the e-petition to ban faith schools.

    Thanks

  • @fekinel "Faith Schools" Hmm. Wouldn't it be better to send our Kids to Facts Schools?

Faith School = Brian washing academy!!

  • @fekinel and why would you want to do that ??

  • @ThinkerResearcher

because faith schools are child abuse.

children should be taught 'how' to think

    NOT 'what' to think.

  • @helias314 You're an idiot.

  • EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TOUNGE SHALL CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.(YOU FOOLS!)

  • @helias314 YOUR GOD MURDERS BABIES! NOAHS' FLOOD, 10TH PLAGUE OF EGYPT! YOUR STUPID BRONZE AGE FAIRY TALES DON'T HAVE OR GRANT YOU ANY MAGIC POWARZ! KEEP YOUR SILLY SUPERSTITIONS TO YOURSELF, WILLFULLY STUPID RELIGITARD. lolz

  • @helias314

    Urban Dictionary: tounge

    1. tounge. How stupid people spell the word "tongue." Is it really that fucking hard ? buy tounge ... No example;; There's no right way to use the word tounge.

  • I really do feel for the poor oppressed majority, poor little christians...

  • wow haha

  • Even if the christian god is real, I'd still wouldn't worship him. he is too fucked up.

  • sub-SCRIBED! XD

  • Subbed! And I featured this awesome video on my channel. Well said!

  • Subbed

  • Proud to be an atheist!

  • TWO THUMBS WAAAAAAY UP! Excellent!

  • Awwwwwwwweeeeeessssssooooommmmmmmeeeeeeee.

  • Righteous. Subbed. ;)

  • rAmen

  • My bands having a christmas concert within the next two weeks, and now i wanna play that song in the ending of this video :D

  • @dlf619 The only thing that could make a live cover of my simple outro jingle more awesome is if you get it on video! Well, I guess an extended 10 minute version of it with dueling guitar solos and a full orchestra would be pretty awesome, but still - video or it never happened!

  • It isn't hard to understand why Christians need to believe in Heaven and Hell. But it only provides more evidence on how hate filled the religion itself is to claim that all who disagree with Christianity for whatever reason deserves evil torture forever in a pit of misery and despair. How's that for a scare tactic? What kind of deity uses scare tactics? Good ones? Ones created by ancient government figures and sustained by current ones to keep you in your place through fear? You be the judge.

  • U MAD BRO??

  • lol and they say their freedom of speech is always being messed with

  • Comment removed

  • @knations1 hey ass clown quit acting like a grade school bully with that eternally shit.

you think that scares peoplew into wanting to be your roomie in heaven for all eternity?

if you arent a poe youd make a good one

  • @knations1 I'm not shocking anyone, just entertaining people. And nice try with the threat, but that only works on people that believe hell exists. Glad to see you wish eternal torture on those who disagree with you, though, that's a great quality in a person.

  • @knations1 "your a dumb ass." It's actually "you're", but I guess they don't teach grammar in church. :)

  • Comment removed

  • @knations1 I thank you deeply for proving proudtobeatheist1 completely right.

  • @knations1 if you want to be calling someone "dumb," you ought to know the difference between the words "your" and "you're." Confusing them exposes a lack of education which is pretty much associated with dumb people (there are, of course, exceptions).

  • how sad

  • "Christians are more equal than others." I love it.

  • Hey my house is actually a church. No taxes, fuck yeah.

  • The myth is not the reason for the season, that's winter solstice. Which originated with the pagans or before. It was just co-oped to so that Christianity would catch on (good marketing!) Though most of you probably knew that anyway. Merry Christmas.

  • At the very least churches should pay property taxes. If a church catches fire, god doesn't put it out, the fire department does. If someone becomes ill in a church, the paramedics show up, not Jesus. They need to pay their share of the impact on the surrounding community.

  • @jgs1122 - I would like this a hundred times.

  • Right the fuck on. I fully support this video. Fancy as fuck!!!

  • @aurabluebop "u rent" Do you mean "you aren't" as in "you aren't the intended audience for this video, therefore you don't have the right to come here and be an illerate asshole?"

  • All of the major religions of the world were created by men so that it would be easier to control other men. Jesus most likely never existed but was another incarnation of ancient gods like Mithra, born on Dec 25 of a virgin, died and came to life again, Light of the World, walked on water, blablablah. There was nothing new in Christianity. Until the Council of Nicea in 325CE, Jesus wasn't even viewed as being God.

  • @aurabluebop: this is the kind of discrimination atheists face. We aren't satan worshippers but we are good, moral people without a god. We are no more an animal than say, someone who comes on an atheist site just to tell them how wrong they are. And BTW, supporting your arguement by saying it says so in the bible means nothing to an atheist. The Qu'ran says all Christians are going to hell because they don't worship the right God. Do you believe that?

  • love it, love it, love it, and sadly, it is soooo true!

  • ok i hope u ll know that ifu rent christian u are surely going to hell it says it in the bible i dislike this video becuse u are letting yourself turn into animals! u arent saved if u rent with God. just saying what i feel have a nice satin filled day all o u guys who r athiest btw u suck butts

  • @aurabluebop You want us to "rent with God"? What the fuck does that even mean?

BTW. Loving the Christian forgiveness at the end of your comment. You're a true Christian.

  • @aurabluebop You want us to "rent with God"? What the fuck does that even mean?

BTW. Loving the Christian forgiveness at the end of your comment. You're a true Christian.

  • @aurabluebop Jesus, you spell like a second grader and expect people to take you seriously???

  • @aurabluebop You can "rent" christians? BTW, we're already animals. I don't know if I want to "rent" with god though, what if he doesn't pay his portion of the "rent"? Oh and thank you for wishing us a "satin" filled day. I do love "satin" it's so comfortable and soft. You're so nice! lmfao

  • @aurabluebop Hahaha thanks, that's funny. So you're trying to make fun of the stupidity and illiteracy of religious people by pretending to be one?

  • @zsdfasdfas

    ever hear of Edward Current?

  • @aurabluebop So you believe in an invisible man in the sky and you have the grammar of a 5 year old.

  • @aurabluebop "Have a nice satin filled day"? Ok, I'll switch to silk. Also, the bible is not a manual, it's a fantasy book. Why do you think preachers and such are put in insane asylums for saying (a) god(s) spoke to them?

  • @aurabluebop I once thought that Christians were just led down the wrong path not idiots, then I read this comment.

  • @aurabluebop Spellcheck and punctuation, otherwise risk sounding like a fool. The best part about not believing in God is that Sat'A'n suddenly doesn't exist, either. Blaming our problems on a non-entity instead of the evil people who cause those problems will only create that many more problems for everyone in the long run, some of which can't be solved - such as the economic crisis. Satan didn't do that. People did. Satan is the perfect scapegoat for those in charge to do whatever they want.

  • Hehe, awesome!

  • Love this video. Happy ex-Christian now atheist. You can be happy without God.

  • hehehe, love it!

  • I just posted this to my FB page... I double dared people to watch..... I am gonna lose "FB friends" over this but it is so worth it.

  • I used to be a christian like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @samblakeanderson I used to be a christian, but then i took logic and reason to the brain!

  • Yes, I am a Jedi!

  • This is absolutely amazing, and ridiculous accurate. And the comments. OH my the comments.

  • I don't think paying taxes "endorses" churches. It's a cop-out to claim that. By exempting them to pay to society via , they're supporting them with tax dollars. That's endorsement. If churches should be exempt for paying taxes because it would be endorsement if they did, then what about the rest of the population, companies and whatnot? Unless they can show actual good work (no, "spreading the gospel" doesn't count), they should pay taxes. Just like any other company/corporation.

  • To my knowledge its not 'Churches' that get Tax-Exempt status...its 'Non-Prophet' organizations that get tax exempt... (and churches are SUPPOSED to fall in that category)

Whether or not they gain a profit is a question (And that probably is the REAL question to be asking them.)

    I could easily be mistaken.

  • @SecularMentat You're right, it's because they are deemed non-profit organizations. When it comes to taxing churches, I'm just skeptical that many of them are following the rules of how non-profits are supposed to spend their money, and I don't think they should be able to get non-profit status for simply being a religious organization. It's my opinion they should have to show that a certain portion of their income goes toward charitable work (and preaching to people doesn't count).

  • @proudtobeatheist1 In that, I wholeheartedly agree.

  • @proudtobeatheist1 You are right when you say we 'American' Christians don't know what it is to be persecuted. Just because they are Christians, Christians around the world are being murdered, beheaded, dismembered, burned alive... The list goes on. As YOU can attest by what resides in your own heart, hatred against Christians has really merely begun here in America. I pray, "God bless 'proudtobeatheist1'. Reveal Yourself to 'proudtobeatheist1' in Your unspeakable love."

  • @revmichellehopkins No one deserves to be oppressed, tortured, or killed for what they believe. Christians killed and tortured nonbelievers in the name of god for a very long time, some christians in Africa still do, and some muslims still do, but that doesn't make it right when christians get killed or tortured. I wish that on no one. But in all fairness, people of judaic religions have been torturing and murdering nonbelievers dating back to the hebrews. So spare me your god, he wants me dead.

  • @SecularMentat

Non PROFIT. And that doesn't mean they cannot make a profit (They CAN end their budgetary year with a gain). It means they cannot be run for any individual or group of individual's personal profit. Any profit/gain can either be held in a fund (or invested) for future organizational expenses, or be spent in certain types of ways, for the organization.

  • @SecularMentat

If a church or religion wants to be political they should first give up their tax exempt status.

  • @SanRafaelSwell Also agreed.

  • God damn this is beautiful.

  • @proudtobeatheist1 I just don't want any non-crazy religious people getting mad at us atheists.

  • @micahjava I understand, I responded a little shitilly there. sorry. I added a blurb about that to my channel info yesterday. I plan on making a video about it too, because it is an important point to make. The smallest minority of christians, the fundies, have the loudest voice, misrepresenting most christians. I don't have much agianst moderate christians, but I think instead of getting angry at us atheists they should help fight against the nutjobs that are misrepresenting their religion.

  • I fucking LOVED this video.

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!!

  • The problem with tax-free churches is that the government would have to endorse them to tax them. However, they can refuse to allow tax deductions for religious donation.

  • @TheCraich You're right. The only taxes I think they should pay are property taxes. If they have land then they should pay for it like everyone else. This wouldn't even affect the little churches that badly, it would really stick it to the mega-churches. Step 2 would be to treat them like any other non-profit organization, meaning their books would be wide open for auditing to ensure they are actually non-profit. This would hurt the pat robertsons that get stinking rich off their churches.

  • LOL 0:19 the jedi and sith symbols!!!!!! (huge star wars fanatic right here)

  • Excellent! Favourited.

  • Yeah really, persecuted my ass. Nice video.

  • omg the outro in a win

  • "even though the majority of the people in the world arnt christian. thats our bad" lmao

  • Nicely done ★★★★★

    Katalyzt

  • Welcome back, my friend. Christians can't take the heat, huh? Well we don't care.FUCK THEM! For all the atrocities that go on to this day, they can kiss my ass. "OOOOOOO" they're butthurt! Learn about your religion you fuckin' morons. We don't like it anymore than you do when we point it out to you.

  • I just subbed. Hilariously true! I loved it!

  • thumbed and favorited as usual!

  • "Help, I'm a Christian in the US. I'm by far the majority and I'm being persecuted. BTW, I want Christian prayer in public schools, the right to tell women what to do with their bodies, the right to hold back scientific discovery, the right to tell people who they should get married to, and special rights from the government. Help, I'm being persecuted."

  • Thank WandingTaoist for a new sub.

  • Loved it

  • I love u. Shared on FaceBook

  • This is the best video ever!

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion hold on one second you dont at us with your beliefs? really? that is just utter bullshit right there, that is the majority of what christians do when not claiming to be persecuted by minorities.

and it is approporate if he did post it there on facebook as it is a message to christians.

the only one that needs help would be you, obviously so brainwashed by your parents faith you cant see what its followers do if you dont like it.

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion I didn't post this on the god page. And you pretty much just proved my point. You got angry because I expressed an opposing opinion. The fundies get on their tv shows and radio shows and say anything they want about anyone, but if anyone says, "I think you're wrong, here's my opinion" christians take offense to it. It is a double standard.

  • @proudtobeatheist1 I do apologize. Someone posted this video on God's page. That is why i came after you. That's what threw me off while watching this video. I thought it was you who posted it because it didn't have many views. And to all of the atheist who replied I apologize. But please tell your atheist people NOT to post this video on a Godly website. It really throws off your point here. You have your section and Christians have ours.

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion "But please tell your atheist people NOT to post this video on a Godly website."

Do you think Atheists should be allowed to post atheistic messages on public billboards?

  • @Skindoggiedog Atheist are not dominant. That's why you all don't have everything we Christians have. Which is the reason for a lot of Christians to be mad if they see any atheism around them. We are true to our religion and we love being Christian. Atheist have no religion. so why should they care about what a Christian believes? They just think they were put on earth by.......nothing i guess. Uh, and by the way, notice I said "Godly" in my comment.

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion We care that intolerant bigots like you get to dick-tate politics that wind up affecting our lives, based on a BS set of fairytales. Don't blame us because the bible is the big book of pick and choose.

  • Religious people have a this insane vested interest in trying to get everyone around them to believe that being a member of a tolerant society requires everybody to respect religion. Well as long as it's "their" religion. Religion needs no special treatment or continued respect at least not any more respect or treatment than anything else out there. I have no more respect for religion than I do, coffee enemas, slow internet, fake tanning, below the ass pants, telemarketers, & the list goes on.

  • @Skindoggiedog well religions of all kinds post stuff on billboards all the time so uh... yeah we should be allowed to do that

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion Separate but equal? Do you endorse Jim Crow laws too?

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion "You have your section and Christians have ours." Yeah, it's called delusion.

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion Your apology sounds sort of hollow. And your indignant request that "atheist people NOT" post on "a Godly website" reminds me of someone else with some very hostile and offensive beliefs. Now, who was that guy?

"Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!"

    ~George Wallace

    Oh yeah-that intolerant asshole.

  • @KCKatheist not to mention the hypocrisy of her posting on my atheist video to say atheists shouldn't post at a god site. If she practiced what she preached then she wouldn't have preached it in the first place!

  • @proudtobeatheist1 Rarely do types like that walk-the-talk. And rather than it being the presence of atheist ideas tainting their sacred web site, it's their fear that doubts, questions, facts, and independent thought will disrupt their holy herd mentality. They don't want the brothers and sisters to wise up and walk away. No threats to their absolute power or their tax-free ca$h flow will be tolerated.

I understand George Wallace was a very devout xtian.

  • @KCKatheist it was a mistake O.o why are you still talking about this? i apologized and that's that. it was a misunderstanding.

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion you need not to get worked up about stuff like that. I always get people posting religious videos on my atheistic web site. Try not to jump to conclusions.

    :)

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion The internet is an invention of science; therefore, it is our section. Go praise god in your section.

  • @proudtobeatheist1 gotta love how the user attacking you has "love" in his username. Hypocrisy, thy name is religion.

    To all theists: Muh bad.

  • @meaninter03 HaHa! Good one! Oh, and by the way..."My" name is Religion. Don't believe me? Check out "my" vid!

  • @proudtobeatheist1 Its worse than that. I live in Milton FL, AKA the bible belt. When I was in high school, I let it slip that I was an atheist, and several of the kids there actually decided to come at me physically. This is perturbing, because it discourages, normally, a person from being open about their beliefs, or lack there of. I say it openly, usually only when asked though, and welcome any backlash it may cause. I'm just that kind of person. Still shitty though.

  • @proudtobeatheist1 not all Christians take offense.

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion No one was even bothering me? REALLY? Not like there are members of my own family who have told me that I shouldn't be allowed to raise children. Not like I've had death threats come my way (and I'm not even a famous atheist!). Not like I have to pay for your religions taxes.

    Yeah, Christians haven't done ANYTHING.

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion

Christians find it necessary to take rights from other people in the name of their religion:

you shouldn't be elected to office

    you shouldn't teach our kids

you can't serve in the army

you shouldn't be alowed to get married or addopt

god hates you, god hates that, you're a desgrace, blah blah

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion

I died of an irony overdose.

You came to an atheist's channel, to say Christians don't come to atheists channels?

Easy to stay away from Christian beliefs when they control the USA, like the Iranians can just avoid Islam.

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion

Even more Ironic, you'll read all these comments and think you're being 'persecuted.'

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion actually said "Christians don't just come at you with their beliefs."

It's because of the Inquisitions, the Conquests, and the Crusades (when christianity was spread by the sword) that you are a christian. Your cult has always been forced on others. Now you are gullible enough to believe in a dead cult leader as a magical sky wizard who will be back any day.

It's been twenty centuries. Can't you take a hint?

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion

    Typical butthurt answer, I'd say.

He presented in his video incredibly valid reasons why you have no right to be called persecuted because you live in a majoritarily christian society. I'm not sure if you know, but persecution is when people are physically assaulted, possibly killed when they express their beliefs. That is what persecution is.

If you think debates where you lose is persecution, then you're the one who needs help.

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion lol, That's funny considering that I have had to tell many Christians to piss off due to them thinking they can just spew there message on myself and other people because they needed to go to the store to get a gallon of milk or whatever. Christians have made a name for themselves for coming at people with there religion. I have seen more than just Jehova Witnesses knocking on peoples doors to tell them about "God". So what is it, Are you lying or just ignorant?

  • @iloveyousomuchdavion What's all the fuss about? Christianity is a nice blood cult that dictates the belief that god set-up a blameless male virgin for brutal torture and sacrifice. :-) You just take a bath, symbolically eat the guy’s flesh and drink his blood, and all your evil deeds past, present, and future are forgiven! From then on, you get to live in Happy-land (except for fear of demons, gays, physics, communists, Muslims, socialists, evolution, music, astronomy, witchcraft, Internet..)

  • @dan91709 Hahaha. You're so right! All those women and children that were raped and murdered deserved it! After all, they aren't christians and will burn in hell!

  • @EvilNaruto15 Yep. Christians love to imagine crispy atheists. (sigh) It's just one of the perks. :-)

  • @dan91709 im sure Jesus would really appreciate that statement....

  • @TheWhiteOp If there was a Jesus, and if he were still alive, I'm sure he would sense the ironic truth of it, yes.

    /watch?v=-ZuowNcuGsc&feature=channel_video_title

  • I used to be persecuted, then I took an Arrow to the Knee.

  • Beautiful!

  • I'm not rick Perry, and I approve this message.

  • @chthonios lol
