360p at 128kbps AAC (96kbps for video prior to 1st quarter 2011)

720p/1080p both play at 152kbps AAC

It's not a huge improvement, still a long way from FLAC, but it's a higher fidelity nonetheless.

What seperates 720p's audio is that little HD sign next to it, 'p' is visual quality, nothing to do with audio. People need to know this because the next time I see someone saying 1080p would be so much better I'm going to slit my wrists.

The bandwidth vs size ratio for 1080p is lower than the ratio for 720p. The sound is locked at 152kbps for both 720 and 1080. A quick Google search will provide backing to my claims. Try searching "720p vs 1080p youtube quality"
