I have worked union jobs, this is what organized labor is to me, it gives some organization the right to strong arm money out of my check to give money to people to make laws and vote in direct contradiction to what I believe. A person should be able to make his own judgment whether he chooses to belong to a union or not! And that does not mean contributing dues to a non charitable organization instead. I believe that this country was founded on choice, if you choose to belong, fine, I do not!

Of course you still have to pay dues to them, but you still pay taxes even if the person you voted for didn't win, don't you? Same thing here. The collective bargaining results in your getting representation for a fair wage, retirement and benifits, even if you don't agree with who they suport.

Be honest, how fair would it be if you didn't pay and got the advantages anyway?

His fee (your Bill) when you visit him has his "Cost Overhead" factored into it to run his practice, and guess what that means? You, and his other patients, have collectivly paid for that magazine your reading. Therefor, the Dentist has chosen that magazine (as your Unions Representitive), not you or any of the other patients and decieded what will be available to read.

@TheLastDeity not true, I have been to dentists as well as doctors that had no magazines...I did not insist on one. Furthermore if you check (as I have) most of those mags are donated either by happy meaning well clients or non profit (usually religious) groups.

@TheLastDeity I do pay taxes, BIG difference. As a citizen of the nation, I do not know how to avoid the taxes without losing my shit or going to jail. If there was a choice there are certain taxes I would absolve myself from. (I ONLY pay taxes when it can be traced if I did not) But a union is not a government deity and should not have the power government has, unless the unions want to turn themselves over to the government to be ran by officials (don't see that happening).

Even FDR upheld the position that public employee unions should never be allowed. This guy has not addressed any facts. It's all just based on his feelings. Makes it hard to take someone serious when there selling point is that Wisconsin is a traditional union stronghold. Public unions have not been around for that long, period. I live in a right to work state and it certainly hasn't destroyed government. If anything, our country could use a little constructive destruction of the government.

Economic Dunces can't do simple arithmetic. You can draw them a picture showing that ALL THE MONEY over 350k (household income) can be confiscated, and it still won't balance the Federal Budget. On a state level, we are similarly broke.

Now let's say for instance I am a math teacher and I make $50,000.00 a year and I also coach baseball for $10,000.00 a year. That counts as 2 jobs, so therefore the average salary is $30,000.00 a year, when in actuality I would make $60,000.00 a year.
