I bought a MEDION display, on the box it says: DVI-D Kabel, VGA, ...

So I went to the apple store to buy a Mini-DVI to DVI-D Adapter.

When I got home and looked inside the MEDION box, there was a VGA and a DVI cable, not a DVI-D, the damn cable can't even be connected to the display ! So now I'm here with my Mini-Dvi to DVI-D... Money wasted..

Would apple take back the DVI adapter and give me a VGA instead?

I'm sorry to hear that you got jipped in that way, and im sure Apple would not refund you only because you bought it and Apple was not the one making the mistake, but, a mini dvi to vga adapter is only $23 USD after shipping charges, so you could always just buy that, and keep your other one incase you find a cord for it.

Well I went over to the apple shop today and they took back the Mini-Dvi to DVI and gave me the VGA one instead! Talk 'bout great service.

That was all the luck I got today... Since the display I've now has two "stuck" pixels and one dead pixel. But I've found some software that might fix the stuck pixels.

The software didn't help, but I went back to the store and explained everything and was allowed to take another display with me. So now I'm typing this message on a perfectly working screen! YAY ! Third time right time!
