My impression of hiding faces is to do more with anamity, I do it myself in my videos and it not just a japan thing. Male or female it doesn't really matter.
Its all about the music and who they believe themselves to be.
Theirs no real need for stereo typing, cosplay is all just a bit of fun most anime/manga/game fans have done it and im no different.
Thanks to K-ON I'm learning to play myself and a have some pritty nice axes & basses. You don't need to spend alot but the more the better
@kurahadol3 their are copies about but thats the cost of the real fender.
My collection is £1,600 for an Epi Les paul (£400), White 66 SG (£150, worth £400), Fender Jazz (£500) & for my own pleasure a vintage fretless mahogany (no paint) bass (£150) but they are a dream to play.
Oh and I have a decent Fender Rumble 15 Amp... (£90)
Unfortunately quality comes at a cost and even I didn't but the Gibsons :S
my friend told me yesterday that people in Japan r scared to be called or known as Otakus and thats another reason they won't show their faces, is that true? sorry is this is offence in anyway just wondering =D.
@EchizenKazu It's more just a custom on niconico to not show your face, although otaku is usually used as against people in a derogatory way but not always. In english otaku translates most closely to nerd/obsessed
@FailMate Yeah.. I feel that it's just sad that Japanese people think being an otaku is stupid. Even tho i'm proud to call myself an otaku. I think a hikimori is worse than an otaku. Don't you think so?
@EchizenKazu I think it's also because of the problems with the copyrights-related-law of the song and stuff therefore they hide their face (or so I've heard) or it's because the Japanese wants the people to focus on the music instead of their faces and stuff :/ but I might be wrong
