we have a cabin in central FL(Ocala)right on the boarder of the national forest. our
Am. Bulldog(he's 115lbs) has killed two coyotes on our property. he also killed a 40lb
bobcat(the bobcat actually scratched him up alot worse than anything either coyote did) but he bit into that cat so hard he broke ribs-OUCH !! in areas of known predators it's good to have a dog that can take care of you and itself.
hey nice vid and by the way coyotes do kill deer cause i was bow hunting the other day and right before i shot a doe it ran away for no reason and a few seconds behind it was two coyotes
Because it happened so fast. Our camera operator turned record on as quickly as she could. Unfortunately, it was after the takedown. It takes too many TBs of disk to record contiuously. You can see the coyotes are a little exhausted. We also have another clip from one of our other cams from like a week or two earlier where a small heard of deer run off a single coyote.
Down Where I live the Coyotes tried to attack many people and killed many dogs different size where I live there not scared of humans anymore and then the will just get worst
They chased it down right it front of the live cam. It is well known that Coyotes will find a weaker deer and single it out and run it down. This one may have been sick or just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
We haven't either before this time. I think it was clearly an opportunity kill. The Doe may have been ill (although it was running full speed) or they may have just come up on it laying down near where we first saw it running. There are two creeks that merge nearby that produce a lot if noise so they could have easily gotten close undetected. Anyway, it was an amazing sight to see. I only wish we could have gotten record on quicker. Like many events though, we have no warning.
@useewildlife I got property in Alabama and at least five times a year I hear coyotes strike up and within the next couple days find the carcass of a deer so its really common
6 deer disliked this.[x
