You have to acknowledge the fact that greece ranks 4th in the world though.. For such a small country its a big accomplishment.. Congratulations for the gold.

Γιατί ρε παιδιά κάθεστε και διαφωνείτε?? Είχανε/έχουνε και θα έχουνε πράγματι την καλύτερη ομάδα στον κόσμο αν θέλουνε.. Το 2006 είχε βγεί ο Σιζέφσκι και είπε ότι "ο Γιαννάκης με νίκησε κατα κράτος".. Σε εκείνο το παιχνίδι είμασταν απλά καλύτεροι και πιο τυχεροί.. Δεν πιάσαμε όμως τον πάπα από τα αρχίδια.. Αυτοί βλέπετε κατεβαζουν 20χρονα παιδιά και παίρνουν το χρυσό.. Εμείς στο Mundobasket του 2018 ποιούς θα κατεβάσουμε?? Ή θα κλαιγόμαστε που δεν κατεβαίνει ο Διαμαντίδης??

@NTMIB I think that USA team have 39 wins and 1 lost at the last 40 games. Greece is the team which win this dream team. USA is the best in basketball. Greece is just great and unpredictable (a country with 10 million people,homeland of athletism and a great history from antiquity).

i really can't see why you people are fighting. USA has always been one of the top basketbeall teams. the Greek team has had it's ups and downs. When we realised we would face the usa in the mundobasket, we were all sure we would lose. You know how sometimes when you're sure you're going to win someone you subconsciously don't use all your power?I think that's what happened with usa here. The greek players instead,played like there was nothing to lose,so the "impossible" happened.Amazing times.

As for this year's mundobasket, we were not that bad. But obviously, we were not the best. So stop this rude attitude like "where is your team now, huh???", be mature and realize that it's a game. Someone has to be the winner here. I get upset as well when we lose but, being as fanatic as you guys is the worst thing ever.

oh and let me not forget, WHAT ON EARTH does the Greek economy have to do with who is better? Just because some politics take advantage of their political power in order to make money, it doesn't mean we deserve this ongoing situation. Enjoy yourselves by watching basketball, don't try to make new enemies. duh.

@NTMIB there is no offense indeed, i believe that too. not that much for the Greek players, but for the team fans. I'm fed up with it though, because it happens in every sport and not only with the national team... and that's the main reason I've stopped supporting ANY team, because i cannot stand the fanatics and their vandalism. Everybody has to learn to accept the defeat! And it was so nice of you replying in such a polite way :)

@NTMIB look the truth is that this year we werent good. our players werent in good form, we missed too many shots, and our coach did a bad job. But still, for ONCE AGAIN the refs were there. I mean its ridiculous, whats happening . Its a disgrace,it makes people not wanting to watch basketball...dont tell me you havent seen it.. check this vid out: watch?v=siKWh0DkCz8
