David guetta is simply a bad dj. Sure he succesfull with what he does but if i go to a club on friday in my city, i can find at least 3 dj's who are way better than david guetta.

@morningindiamusic they are far more advanced though. and i find logic easier to use than fl, because its simple and its more advanced at the same time. ableton is by far the best, but you need a degree in computer engineering to use it to its full potential.

@thomatude Yeah it will run on windows but i use it on my macbook but if all ur doing is mixing and mash ups then its alot of money to spend on ableton. For software i would just buy virtual dj, and a numark dj i/o interface and a hercules mp3e2 mixer, with headphones that will all add up to the price of ableton. So i think its the better way to go and its everything you need.

@InfinityProjectPromo you do have a point, i may only know mainstream music,since i know over this continent we only see certain part not all of your different genres, but my thing is, Why is guetta the idiot #2 in the world, is it because mostly everyone in the world listens to 0815-tracks or because his work is well appreciated. I understand your point about i don't know much about your music in germany, but i do know that when someone is in #2 in the world, No one should call him an IDIOT.

Influenced him in what sense? Probably in PRODUCING tracks? Look i can see you are a fan of his, but i am too. He is clearly a great PRODUCER, but there are a lot of better DJs in the top 20 than he is. Of course your opinion is going to be the only one that matters right? So be it.

@Bugs1238 this is why i get so defensive sometimes, when people just doesn't get the fact. All this conversation is not about if I am just a guetta fan or if my opinion is the only what that matters. My point is why everyone is against guetta being number#2, he is there for the simple reason, he is the fucking number 2, if there were alot better 20 dj's than him, why are there on other ranks then. Give me facts about why you think those other 20 dj's are better, and i might agree with you.

@juantanamera26 The DJ Mag Toplist is just a merchandised list of DJs with the most PR! Gaytta had 5 different clips in which he collected votes and even at his shows he asked the audience to vote for him...
If you would produce yourself, you could easily see, that there are far better DJs with absolutely amazing skills in the list like Laidback Luke, Axwell, etc...
Guetta just knows how to produce chart tracks with "huge" artists of the pop business.

@DarkJu1990 discrediting guetta is just low, and tells me all of you are HATERS for his success, he is where he is, because he gives the people what they want, and he does it very well, contributing with pop stars might make his music bad, but at the end it is what it sells, and plays on every event on this planet, so sometimes a dj with better skills, is not the key of sucess, but how you presented it to the audience. at the end he will taste success and not you guys with better skills.

@doubletime16 silly is to short for what your reasoning is. the software transition is done to make life simple when you are on the road every single day, playing every day world wide. its not like deejaying in your kids birthdate party, where you can bring 300 records with a dollie and put them back. you people compare him to yourselfs, but don't realize that if you where in his shoes and have to worry about 500lbs of vinyl every trip you go, when you can have everything in a small flash drive.

@dedutz1991 I will agree on you on that one, BUT stupid people will want to carry 100+lb of vinyl world wide on a daily basis, what about when you produce and remix 100 songs a month, will you pay the cost of creating 100 vinyls, when you can get a 180us harddrive and put there 500,000 tracks and remixes you produced over you carrer, or you would want to carry all those vinyls with you?? don't compare bedroom deejays with a producer. please reason better, and learn something. Dumbness is no good

@juantanamera26 dude, i was being sarcastic. Plus carrying vinyl in compressed form isn't the only reason he uses it. Theres 100's of features you can do on software besides that to make life easier, they all enhance the performance

I started on FL Studio, its a good tool for beginners. now i use Cubase Studio 5 and pretty soon Logic :)

ableton has lots of great hardware, check out the "akai apc 40" for example. and just listen to the man himself... praising ableton live!
all programs/ setups are great once you can mix/ produce tunes, its just down to preference.
