  • Nice burns. I could guess that the KN ratio was set to low (by ears). I'd love to see videos of the preparation phase and the viscosity.

  • The thrust seems to be very low in all tests... Am I right?

  • @rachetomodele You are correct. The closest nozzle throat size was the first test motor. The third test used our static test motor we used for testing igniters, casting tubes, core geometries; the nozzle was designed for a four grain motor. We use it with a smaller two grain motor to avoid CATOs while we are testing new things. I wouldn't think that companies test liquid propellant motors at 100% the first time they try something.

  • @rachetomodele

Call me 'timid' but I've had my share of CATOs and that sets things back, in both time and money...just look at my video "DoubleSShot Boiler Plate Static sugar motor test"

  • @mojaverockets

Ok, now i understand, I thought they were fully loaded, so that would have been the maximum thrust..

Nice job, anyway. Good luck with all your work.

  • @rachetomodele The cases were 'fully loaded' with propellant, the nozzle throats were large so that the motors wouldn't over-pressurize
