So I have a couple question... In maybe the last video or the one before you said that if we were still interested, we needed to get piano lessons. So do I now need to invest on getting lessons from someone in person than on here? Will I not learn how to play piano from these videos? Also, should I only watch one lesson per day, or does it matter?
I am really praying that God gives you all the strength and health that you need in order to keep on going, although may not look much fo ryou this classes have already crossed oceans and reached many continents, please keep up the good work. God bless you!
haha"! you've grown alot since then; i was wondering, did u record these when y ou were having severe health problems like you spoke about in the interview with kim? Heart problems? you had to sleep sitting up?
Finally.. audio for Lesson#13 is so blur and #14 is untracable, maybe you would want a retake on #13 i think it would do wonders with this cybershot =)
You teach well and i'm glad you found this sony device
I am a troubled man with a tortured soul. All those who love me love me because of my music. When my hearing left my sorrow increased. If ever an artist was acquainted with grief it was me. The power my music can have on the listener is astonishing. Those who listen are aware that they are not alone. For Beethoven is with them!
Beethovens sorrow.
^_^ I though i would put this. :) L.V. Beethoven is my favoret composer. :)
I think some modern composers stick out and are really good. For exampel Yann Tiersen and the song "Rue des cascades". Very emotional pices of work I think. What do you think about his work? It would be nice to hear you play some from his work, that would kind of sweep the "dust" from all the old stuff, you refearing to.
can i learn piano just by doing all of the scales alone and learning some piano songs? I purchased a scale book like you said and i am wondering if this is all i need to become a professional keyboard player
The best advice I can give is to practice diligently. Even when you don't feel like continuing or you feel like it's not getting anywhere it is! Practice, practice, practice.
hi all, these lessons are greaaaaaaaaaaat and thank u man for recording them, just a quest. when i download this one (lesson 15) i just have 102 kb downloaded any one helps me to download it , plezzzzzzzzz
not sure if you were kidding there but there are ways to download youtube videos via certain programs/websites.
I just take down notes with certain lessons :p
I'm still trying to catch up with em (almost there) but have you discussed composing (original stuff) or were the music theory parts in the earlier vids enough?
Hey, Yea i know you can download videos with programs out there. As for the theory. there's still alot to know. Especially if you want to compose there are LOTS of things to know!
ohh snap! a new lesson, and your getting all hightech on us w/the intro and the background music... ohh and your camera took an amazing vid, nice andrew.
Background music may be good on some videos and when learning some things but think about it. We are talking MUSIC here, and he is demonstrating MUSIC. So how can you concentrate on MUSIC when other MUSIC is being played in the background. Sorry but for me, OTHER MUSIC is a distraction when I am concentrating on MUSIC!
yea, i put the BGM in because i was talking for a good 20 minutes here...i thought people would get bored, so i thought i'd put little nice music softly in the background..do you guys think it was a bad idea?
great the lessons are not for me, but you got the new camera so can you play some pieces and record them. And btw i got the hanon book for my technique, indeed easy to find on the internet.
God bless you dude...

Since you have a new digital cam that takes nice vids, perhaps, you would consider re-shooting earlier lessons that had horrible vid quality.

tinkerchel 4 years ago
Why the background music? It detracts from what you are saying. Please get rid of it!

I loved the background music. They say when there's music in the background it helps you to focus during study...keep it please!
