How to HALF WAY Tether the Motorola Triumph

How to tether to ipod/iphone/ipad ;)

1 Need jailbreak

2 Open Cydia and get "mobile terminal" (make sure it is compatible with your iOS version) and "network-cmds"

3 Open mobile terminal and enter this:

ifconfig en0 mtu 1472

Then press enter

4 Your done exit terminal. Try to connect as normal using barnacle, it should now work on the iPad ;)

The trick is to set the computer mtu to 1472 and use barnacle,the tether works flawlessly on all websites :) I am using it right now on my macbook :)

Hey Bro you have to change the mtu settings on your laptop from 1500 to 1472. Heres how(For Windows 7):

1. Run CMD as ADMIN

2. In the command prompt, copy and paste (you must right-click to paste in this prompt):

netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Wireless Network Connection" mtu=1472 store=persistent

Then press enter.

3. If successful, you will see “Ok.”

4. Then, start up barnacle and connect again and try another page other than Google.

@PerkinsII just wanted to let you guys know i have a way to make any site work.

basically do all the stuff listed above now one last thing you will need is hotspot shield this is basically a program that lets you hide your info its a vpn service. so after you connect make sure google will load then turn on HPS and your golden. this is just a work around until we find a new way todo it with out HPS.

Couldn't you just download quicksettings and turn on tethering that way? I haven't gotten the Triumph yet, but it worked on the triumph

@zombie112 did it really? Well the problem is, the Kernel doesn;t really support tethering at all. LIke its COMPETLEY stripped from the phone and so making ANYTHING For this thing as be a bitch.
