I can't believe this cult still exists. Religious Freedom is one thing. To allow people to be brainwashed and driven to poverty by thieves is another. Why doesn't USA do something to make this cult illegal? I think that all organized religions are poison. But Scientology is worse than poison and worse than nazism. It has to disappear.

This just points out how HCO is EVIL. But they are just following the policies of L Ron Phuckwad. Of course you could argue that some data is senior to other data, and they are just applying the less senior policy as destructively as possible. In that case, correct policy was not really followed. I hope Kevin has a relationship with his kid now.

this guy would do good working with pain patients, just doing whatever, just because he is able to recognize he said at a young age that some people have problems day to day just surviving basically, much less working.....and there are people like that when they are in pain...I haven't been able to work for awhile because of that....I am almost done with school though so i plan to work but just not moving constantly, but I like how he seems to recognize that

What are those E-Meter things I keep hearing about. Are they based on galvanic skin response like lie-detectors ? I think keeping people awake for long hours, working them to exhaustion and not enough food are probably classic brain washing techniques. Torry you have had a very unique life. You should get some of it down on paper. Sounds like it would be a good read.

Also, I had a man whom I worked for who was ( OT8 ) He lied on a regular basis and would play mind games with his employees, Since he gave large donations to the cult, they would NOT do any thing to him when I reported him to Ethics for his lying.

Same stuff I've seen after my 17 years in, No staff training, No staff moving up the bridge, etc. etc. very poorly paid staff members, living in large groups, barely paying the bills. Then you get the hell out and nobody can talk to you. So glad I'm out, I really see what a brain wash it is.!!! P.S. some of the Ethics officers would tell me some of the most stupid things I've ever heard.

Excellent interview, Tory and Kevin! Many of the comments Kevin made regarding poorly equipped staff remind me of similar remarks made by Jason Beghe in his interview. He spoke (very colourfully too!) about some staff being ill-educated, or English not being their first language, or being really young or just plain incompetent. He too wondered how they would fulfill their lofty ambition if staff were in such a bad way. Anyway, great work, keep it up!

What an excellent point: how can the scientology enterprise claim that their goal is to "clear the planet" when most of their staff are not clear?

The truth is that the scientology enterprise's goal is to grab as much $ as it can. Making people "clear" is just a pretext.

Tory whats your opinion on accountability? Obviously David 'Slappy' Miscavige needs arresting (hopefully this year) but what about Tommy Davis? If he blew tomorrow and started talking against the 'church' would that excuse the malicious things hes said and done? IMHO long time critics like you have more than made up for any evils you did in the church with your actions since but what about upper level defectors who will leave after the church is unsalvagable just to avoid accountability.
