will that handle straighten out when it dries? also do you have problems with cracking putting a wet handle on a leather hard mug?

Nope, it stayed right where it was. It also did not crack. The type of stoneware clay I use is very elastic and I never have a problem with it. Thanks for asking! -- Natalie
