@Shaqpack609, There's no way I'm going to diminish what you had to do at Marine OCS. There's no doubt in my mind that you are kick ass and tough as nails. Just saying that you can't really judge from this video, it's the first day and what they were showing the parents. It's not an easy four years. Both paths are tough and only for the strongest. But they would never dis you and you shouldn't dis them. You're on the same team.
@2012USNA haha you are right I suppose. It's just that when I was on cruise in 2008, there were a bunch of usna guys on the ship. There were some guys that were locked onand good to go, but the majority made the school look bad. We had a guy (now a 1st class MIDN) do so many crazy things he almost got banned from the ship
@Shaqpack609, well, it's just like anywhere else. There's a certain percentage of people that are idiots wherever you go. Maybe there's a slightly higher percentage of privileged idiots at the service academies, but most of the people there are like everyone else. Some cool, some not so much. Just like life.
They are getting their uniforms and supplies on their first day at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis. Later this day they'll take the oath of office and begin their four years of college, leadership, and military training. When they are done, they will be commissioned as naval officers.
Congratulations! You should have no problem with Plebe Summer...although what the public sees is not the same as what happens behind closed doors. Still, it should be nothing a Marine can't handle.
usna students are nasty, they dont go to ocs

@2012USNA From what I hear from my buddies, it is not that bad. This shit looks easy compared to what we had to do. (Marine OCS)

I just got accepted... this looks like a joke compared to Parris Island. 3 years in the Marines to go back to this... but it's worth it in the end.

Makes me glad I turned down the opportunity while in nuke school. Nobody needs to go through that boot camp bullshit more than once.
