Some comfort - a real cop probably wouldn't just keep walking despite the victim visibly protesting (especially when dealing with a serial killer who sets up traps like this).
Wires on the floor... how unexpected is that??
Also, Debra/Dexter should've stopped everyone from walking RIGHT AWAY, rather than analysing the floor for 5 seconds.
This scene puposefully and artificially inserts tension and shock, to... shock the audience, but it's rather stupid if you think about it.
But hey, might probably help to prevent something like this in real life - should a crazy, tinkering psycho appear on the scene. They'll be like "hey, I watched Dexter... HOLY SHIT, EVERYONE STOP WHERE THEY ARE!!" .... lol.
I love how cop-lady is totally chill with the fact that her slow-thinking just got this innocent girl brutally murdered right in front of her.
She just looks at the scene, mildly curious like "Huh, well would you look at that?"
Cool episode anyway. I'm starting to like this season. The killings are really creative - this is the first time I've cringed during a kill or crime scene since season 1.
And, you know, there's good character development, yada yada.
@AfterFeelings I know right, what an asshole. I loved this scene. 1st time there is some Saw styled trap. It's getting more interesting this season for sure. I do miss the Trinity killer tho.
It's shocking and depressing at first, but then you realize that you screaming at the screen the whole time, is actually screaming at the fucking stupid script ;)
Scariest kill EVER!!!! awesome!!!!!

okay so tripping the wire snaps the...bolt? which drops the ball and hoists the other end of the rope...so what made the collar kill her?
evfan13 2 months ago
@evfan13 The collar had inward spikes, when the mechanism was released, she fell into them.

I have never shivered or been afraid of murderers in Dexter since season 1, like @afterfeelings.
But this clip will probably give me nightmares tonight. :(
