Interesting.. I heard the original of this song in Denver by someone with the last name of Preston who I believe also played guitar on one of Brad's album? The original was more of a rock tune called "dear god" or something like that. I would guess Brad did not originally write this song? The original had some really strong lyrics, although the recording was awful. Brad's version is a much better recording with a lot more put into it. Tremendous song..
