The savage .223 is in my opinion one of the best varmint guns ever. You can not beat the price or accuracy. I have one with a Bushnell 3200 elite 5-15x50 scope it is great fun on the dog town.

get a fucking silencer man! other than that, good shot :) got a 12 bore at the moment but im thinking of getting a .223....... im guessing you would recommend it? haa

@poacher08 ,that was with a silencer mate ,it was that loud because the camera was beside the barrel ,223 is a good long range varmit gun ,my savage 223 shoots 1moa at 300 metres

thanks mate ,that was shot about 5 hours ago, i stuffed up with my other vid the camera sliped off the truck but i got 2 rabbits with one shot with a .22

@101popster at that distance there was usable meat on the rabbit,you would be able to use a 223 for deer up to around 200 meters

@qm4life2008 really? on a deer too..so...this is sort of like one of those all arond calibers? how does it compare to a .243? i heard 223 was less expensive overall butstill provided accuracy, range and stopping power? also which one is better for a begginer? i have fired BB guns but that is about as close to a real rifle that i have ever got. me and my dad are looking for something that we can use on primarily small game and spit aout a lot of rounds at a firing range.

@101popster buy a .243 if your a beginner it will be better for you , you wont have to work out drop and it has more stopping power if you do scuff the shot , .223 are good but you need to be precise
