i didnt like the whammy bar on the rock band guitar it broke and i just stepped on it!! but my guitar hero xplorer controller has been slammed numerous of times and still works like new so rock band may have brought the first band together but there instruments were poorly made none of my rock band stuff works any more and i only had the game a month!!!!!

However they're closer to the original buttons than on Rock Band, and they're touch pad not individual fret buttons which is awesome for doing slide notes (aka adjusting the tone of a note without releasing the note) which will add improvisation particularly in song customization. Guitar hero can't do the same thing over and over again, or they won't have as many sales as they used to.
