  • The naming of creatures is so confusing. Your "white line hummingbird moth" is a "striped hawkmoth" in the UK. Our "hummingbird hawkmoth", an occasional summer visitor from continental Europe is much smaller and flies by day. Some people mistake it for a large bumblebee. You can see pictures on Google images.

  • How cute. I love these little guys. It's their season and they are just now showing up at my garden. Come see the video I made of sphinx moths for 2007.
