@showbizpizzablog You speak the truth, man. I won't lie, I grew up with CEC. I recently took a look at this Showbiz Pizza Place a few years ago, and I have to admit, it looks better than CEC. If you ask me, this should be brought back as a franchise again.
Its a shame the business couldnt stick around. I would have been a daily visitor. Hard in the current economy. It might have survived down here in Tampa, FL though. I would have donated my time to help make it big if only it were here. Chris you are an inspiration. If only there were more people like you in the world.
Just saw the documentary and heard about your restaurant. I live in Dallas and our entire family loved Showbiz Pizza (the 100th Showbiz Pizza opened).
You're doing a great job Chris. God bless you and your wife, as well as your endeavors.
AWESOME! But to anybody's concern, this will not be a chain because this is the only Rock-afire he has and Creative Engineering Inc. is only selling the last Rock-afire built so... Case Closed, It will not be a chain.
Its a new independent establishment. Uses the same logo with a different color and slightly different name, yet brings back enough of the memories. This is what happens if you stick to your dreams.:D
I hope this is the case, because Chris has the right idea. If he can get this in more of the obscure locations across the country this would be interesting :)
Chris!!! This is Mike Miller from Birmingham. Justin and I came down to see you a few weeks ago. LOVE the commercial!!! By the way, I'm in radio and have access to production equipment. I'd be happy to do any additional voice-overs you need done at no charge, but the guy you used here was pretty good I must say.
Awesome! Too bad I'm a bit too old to just hop in the car and road trip it out there. If only I had kids to justify it. :( Seriously, there needs to be a rent-a-kid service.
I was there not too long ago and it was pretty cool seeing the Rock-afire Explosion again after so many years. Met Chris there too, nice guy and its awesome he opened up a Showbiz. Pizza was pretty good too. I recommend checking it out.
Its like Showbiz never left! And I have to admit... I like the blue and yellow color scheme for the logo over the old orange and yellow. Ever think about changing Billy Bob's colors to match? I know it would be considered 'blasphemy!' but hey it is YOUR store! Keep it up Chris1
Did this really close? I heard last week that it's still open for business.

It's great that you try and bring back SPP. How has business been since you opened it?

Yeah the problem is someone will mention the commercial to someone else who haven't seen the commercial and go to get the 15% off

chuck e cheese commercials don't even mention the show anymore.

Now if only one could open up here in Minnesota... Ha!
Who knows, maybe Showbiz Pizza Zone will become a smashing success and end up being a countrywide chain just like with the old Showbiz!
Really hoping to see the Rock-afire Explosion film soon.
