Wrong. If YOU can sharpen a knife with a stone, good for you. I can not. One small, old Victorinox that I carry and abuse on a daily basis, was sharpened in 8 swipes, 4 on the diamond and 4 on the steel to where it easily remover hair from my arm. A hard task with my fine hair.
Nothing beats a good old 3 sided stone. I cut meat for a living and thats the best sharpening tool I have seen. I havent used this product and if I brought it into the shop I would probably get laughed at.

Theres nothing wrong with this sharpening tool. It will not hold the edge as long as a stone sharpening, but only takes 3 seconds.

The edge holding ability of a knife has to do with the steel it is made from and the angle of the edge.

Why not show its cutting ability BEFORE and after the sharpening? Perhaps the knife was sharp before the sharpening?

My husband's knife was sharpened by this model at a trade show. It was a dull knife, and he said it did a good job of sharpening it.
