  • This will create a war that will be bigger then all the wars in our past together. The purists vs those who wish to change into something new.

  • people are automaticly afraid that transhumans will become real and be, 'what ever" more then they are. so there going to use and find every reason why we should'nt. and its not eugenics, its epigenetics that people get mixed up.

  • What the fuck?! Delusions bro...come on yo, you really believe this bullshit? What makes you think the elites will even allow the common man to posses such technology without a catch? They'll have total control over your mind, body and will eliminate any vestiges of the soul and will that remain...eugenics is eugenics and it is not for the grater good, it means humans are not only bad, they're a negative...fuck eugenics!!!!

  • Nice hearing about others views on transhumanism thanks.

  • I'd rather make love to one woman I love, once, than ponder (digitally) the theoretical meaning of inorganic evolution for 10,000 years in some dry crater on Mars.

  • @charverson go ahead to each his or her own

  • humanity salvation depends on trans and post humanism. nature wishes for the dumbest, most brutal to survive, so humanity is gonna decay , so if we wish to survive we most study trans- humanism to survive

  • agreed, transhumanism is the way forward

  • "Every thing is the human body is electrical"?? That's way too exaggerated. Some systems like the nervous one function with electric impulses.

  • in order to track human evolution...you have to study the brain, ie.neuroscience. I don't know, maybe you do, of any studies that map the growth of the brain and its neural pathways from infancy to adulthood and then on our deathbeds to measure how much the brain is occupied by its pathways. I believe, as soon as we are able to outgrow our own brains the closer we get to transhumanism or the next step in human evolution. That will be all time from now, if ever.

  • Honestly I think transhumanism is probably our future but if I live long enough to see people walking around in cyborg bodies I'll probably be one of the small number of people who elects to live on some planet where technology is at the level of the 1920's and 30's. I don't even like the idea of electronic fuel injection (fuel injected into the vehicle under control of a computer) so I doubt I could accept a transhuman world.

  • @J3rEmY17 that's understandable, but when your life is fleeting, you'll adapt.

  • @iDeist I don't think so as long as I feel like I have accomplished something worth while in my life I think I could accept death.

  • @J3rEmY17 thats pretty heroic. i just wanna live forever. ive got plans. ;]]]]

  • @iDeist Lol I don't think so, to me I don't care how advanced humans become you can't live forever and even if you could you would probably get to a point where you wouldn't want to anyway. That and I have confidence in an afterlife, not a house in the clouds behind golden gates but some form of existence after death. Besides if I am wrong, I won't exist and I can't reflect on my being wrong.

  • @J3rEmY17 don't fret my friend, if i doesnt exist, i'll bring you back. ;]

  • @iDeist haha its a deal.

  • @J3rEmY17 see you in the after! ;]

  • @surferdjr What you think evolution's going to last forever?

Get real. At some point humanity will begin to shape itself, and that's the next step in evolution. Self-evolution.

  • what about the fact that death could be a way out? maybe we're trapped in this machine and death is our escape? living forever could just be prolonging a sort of unknown torture? I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying.

  • @Syndictate that's an interesting thought.

  • Dis is sum matrix shit nigga dis sum good shit

  • I will leave a video response to this.

  • keep the sex!!! haha

  • YOU'RE NOT GONNA HAVE SEXUAL NEEDS?

    Death to transhumanism!

  • @OrganicKing

Hell i'm gonna have lotsa sex. On a transhuman scale!! Thousand person Orgies everywhere!

  • 'k, but don't forget this ideas are not really different from FUCKING EUGENICS! it can be a way of expanding ourselves infinitely, but also a great tool for those at the top of the pyramid to make us embrace social control through stuff like literally mind controlling you through chips and shit! if you are offered a chip that supposedly makes you smarter or whatever how can you be sure that there's not some other programming that could be activated when everybody gets the chip ;)

  • If we have the opportunity to advance humans to the better then I say go for it. If we have the technology and knowledge then we should use it for the better. If someone doesn't want to then fine, it's their life and choise. And if we use technology to improve humans intelligence then we can use that intelligence to increase the technology further and use that technology to advance... well, whatever we think is needed. This probably sounds like a bunch of bullshit, but I'm just stating my opinio

  • I find transhumanism fascinating. Time to evolve! One thing, why is it that everytime there 's advancements in science or talk of change, religious people go crazy and say, this is all part of the New World Order. If we as humans can't conquer fear, how are we ever going to evolve?? Good video!

  • Not gonna have any sexual needs? The only down that there is in transhumanism

  • lol i had tanshumanism as a kid from 4 until 12 STEADILY. and it was very

educational. you may have heard of it its called SUPER NINTENDO. my point is

we already have transhumanism cuz we dont even know what we are talking about.

transhumanism defined (for me): interacting with technology on a regular basis.

so technically for as long as we could make our own tools we have been transhumanists. if ur tech is helping u in any way.. its transhumanism in some form or another.

  • I like this cat! Keep it coming

  • Have a real transhuman experience right now within the miracle construct you already have with your brain " the reciever of consciousness" smoke some legal salvia, at the right dose in a shamanic spirit with responsible sitters to care for your body while your out somewhere in the universe. I already have the option for imortality. And going from carbon based to silicon based does not guarantee you imortality as an individual, it is foolish to think so, and all the same requires faith

  • i believe that if we do go into transhumanism it will not make us spirits but allow us to tap into our mental abilities better and become more efficient life forms. i believe that we will lose that human greed desire and become more into a conjoint race and but differences aside. live in peace and finally end all the bull shit. i believe the idealism of "spiritual" or what the video expplains is posthumanism. were we leave our bodies behind and travel with our minds basically.

  • ♪In the year 5555 your arms are hangin' limp at you side

Your legs got nothin' to do

some machines doin' that for you.♪

  • The only thing that I am against about Transhumanism is the progression of A.I. other then that I agree with you 100%.

  • Well, it certainly is the next step of evolution. Sure we could live without it, but why should we? Sure it could destroy us, but a meteor or a mutated bacteria could do the same. We, as species, are bored by the world as it is now. We´ve allways been. Thats why we allways try to come up with new things. And that´s a good thing.

  • its time for us to evolve.

  • You indicate that you want to live on forever. And, you want to experience more of what the universe has to offer. Right? But you can only remember 1 ten millionth of the informatiion and experiences you already have had exposure too. What good will you be to yourself or others if you can't remember (or care to remember) that you were once human. You will be a 'TRASH-HUMANIST-SLAVE!' Oh YA, and you will still be forced to pay for the electricity you will use... Just remain a diety.

  • We need the transhuman future, because if not.. the transALIENS will attak and we'll be all fucked

  • I'm tired of arguing with people about this "playing god" thing. its like 68% bible thumpers have health insurance. think about that one! Well guess what nothing against anyone's "GOD" i'm stacking the deck too! If he doesnt like it maybe he can send me a book, i'll download it with my brain and see how he feels this ion . Dont be so 20th century! Dont worry its gonna be fine like i said we'll tera-form a planet for you and as we leave maybe then it'll hit you. "why isn't god stopping them?"

  • @kushnjuice why would god stop us, god apparently made everything, gave us so called freedom of choice and we made all our technology with shit that he made. So its only a matter of time before our collective minds start to excel our long over due evolution, be it with machines or not, i think we could have been there already, and living in a perfect world, had we not created money.

  • @TopShelfization

Sorry, I have to disagree with you. Money was necessary for technological process, as at the beginging of industry, no, even before that, you needed something to express the value of things so they could be traded, which was necessary because no human sttlement/city/whatever could produce all the necessary good and resources on it´s own.

  • fuck all this shit people say hating on transhumanism, its the only way for us to extend to the next chapter as a species. Listen you dont want to be part of the singularity then thats your choice but i'm not going to sack my chance to excell to the top of the evolution chart. we can simulate our feelings how we feel fit to. we can create a world beyond ours, hell we'll be able to tera-form planets and make them fossil species their own little paradise as we disappear into the universe.

  • @kushnjuice finally, some one who gets it, with a brain!

  • @kushnjuice so this is like the nerd's version of "enjoy burning in hell when the Rapture takes me home!", then?

  • @kushnjuice "Galactic Proliferation," and "terraforming." It will take thousands of years to learn to properly engineer planets so we can live on them, but how long would it take if we all had computer brains and cyborg bodies? I want to work on creating conscious AI. You sound like you think big, any ideas send them my way.

  • You're one of those guys, I would smoke hella weed with. All jokes aside, my opinion, is that it's great, as well as terrible. If we found a way into Transhumanism, I believe most of society would do as they've done. Abuse the privilege, and destroy the creation. Before we pursue any of these mind-bogglingly awesome ideas, society will need a conscious/spiritual breakthrough. I'm not talking about christianity. I'm talking about finding our own real consciousness, & erasing all of the bullshit.

  • @OGZombies I'll bring the booze!!! lol

  • @iDeist HOLLAAAA!

  • Glad i came across you mate, fellow transhuman :D

  • @Adventfred likewise! =)

  • @iDeist i disgaree.we should stay natrual and not revert to this.were ment to die sometime. why cheat ourselfes? the earth will melt one day anyway

  • @gotthkid2 yeah, good plan

  • @iDeist the government wants us robot like so they can control us.

  • @gotthkid2 Solution; disolve the government. Before singularity can be achieved, social evolution must come first. We as humans are living in an advanced form of feuldlism, and nothing more. No more politics, no more laws, no more coorporations, and no more money. Once our social consciousness has been raised, we as a race may advance socially and physically into a new era impossible of conception.

  • How can you play god when he doesn't exist?

  • @AgrivatedKillah The same way you can play captain Picard of the starship Enterprise. ;-)

  • With singularity there will be no love, hate, anger, greed, happiness, joy, sex, money, need, want, food, drink, birth, death, illness, laughter, crying or any other thing that we are now. Music will be pointless, art will be wasteful, language will be universal, culture will be universal, and unrelated to previous cultures, and finally we will need the earth and it resources no further. Comment on that!

  • @the81stviewer that's a nice argument from emotion, and potentially one of the results. I'm sure if the first single celled organisms could see into the future, that they would one day evolve into a species that had the capabilities of creating weaponry that could destroy all of existence, theyd make a similar case. Fact is, our sun and universe are not eternal and will die, and technology is only going to increase, dramatically. Everything else is just theory. Comment on that!

  • @iDeist Don't you find it odd that you are describing a society in which Beethoven would be an ape, Da Vinci a neanderthal, and Stephen hawking a caveman? Isn't it odd how they will not consider these geniuses and innovators as equals, but as "talented zoo animals?" That is so hard for me to swallow, that these people who have contributed supreme arts, sciences, and innovations to our culture would be looked at as common dogs.

  • @the81stviewer I think humanity would require a severe HUMILITY injection to the face, were we to forget our roots and forget that we arrived where we stand because of the path behind us. Newton said only by standing on the shoulders of giants did he see anything, and that is a concept that aught to proliferate no matter how advanced we become as a species. I disagree that the advent of trans-humanism will spread this horrible rash of arrogance. We're capable of taking it to a positive place.

  • so what do you think of altered conscienceness

  • @randomnative be more descriptive, that statement is daft.

  • i want starvation :( i luv food

  • Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

    ~The Bible

  • Takin evrything that makes us human out of the equation, not smart. Humans themselves cant be trusted with n e hing of 2 much power. U can eliminate physical illness but u cant eliminate Hate, Jealousy, etc. Well just allow humans to fu*k everything up just in another level. We shouldnt try to control our species so much, eventually nature will find a way to mess us up, if not well end up doing that ourselves. With ur "solutions" will come even worse problems, & u wont realize it til its 2 late.

  • drugs hurt

  • @Vend1cator91 so does reality.

  • 'Weak, idiots, worrying about bullshit, we don't have *anything* figured out, couldn't care less'.... hmm @iDiest i'm not sure if i can jump on board with your perspective here. Though, i can join you in the celebration of transhumanism (which has long begun), our views are departing. I hear lots of people talking about this, i see more educated people than ever before in history, i sense lots of complexity in our institutions, i witness lot's of disabling impatience among the most passionate

  • some of what you said reminded me of the cybermen episode of Doctor Who....creepy.

  • @maddcat0 very...

  • It sounds cool, as long as I become SUPER attractive then it'll be fine.

  • if they could invent some sort of microbiotic artificial bacteria that could be injected into the body and could heal any disease or injury in a matter of minutes and then humans could some pretty cool things

  • @vicwootenisgod Similar to nano-technology. It's on it's way. =)

  • @iDeist cant wait 4 the future:)

  • @vicwootenisgod me either =)

  • @vicwootenisgod

There is already a any disease healer which is Jesus Christ who can even heal a bitter heart.

Also every living organism has a vibratory state. Which can be disrupted by countering this disruptive state.

  • @fedism ...Yeah, sure. I'll stick with real stuff... You know... Technology.

  • @fedism ...Yeah, sure. I'll stick with real stuff... You know, Technology.

  • I'm sure humans don't need a robotic counterpart to suppress all these needs and to strengthen our body. A human can theoretically adapt themselves to all these conditions, and a lot of stuff like needs, and pain can be supressed and conditioned. I've done it, it's pretty fucked up though

  • @LevKozlodoev , come on man. you know its not enough and the timeline that'll it take to match wat technology can provide in comparison if aligned side by side is like sears tower to a pencil. lol

  • "Playing god" is an emotional reaction based on fear of the unknown. There is no know god to play after. There are many beliefs and many different definitions of god therefore this argument is invalid. The transhuman world is what I support and am working towards.

  • We are the Borg, your biological and technological destinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance, is futile.

  • This is already happening. I can sound a billion times smarter on here than I can in a conversation on the street because of Google. That is the first grain of sand on all of the beaches of the new mind. What we are talking about is nothing short of our evolution. We produce more information in 1 yr then the entire history of our species. Our collective information is getting closer to becoming part of our own brains. When that happens all bets are off.

  • @peterphilip That does not sound very smart to me, though. What stuff are you smoking??

  • As to being immortal. Having a robotic skeleton like a terminator with flesh over it. The armored core keeps you alive, and upgraded, with all the sensations and self repair abilities of a normal flesh body. Can even still have normal kids -- who later choose their upgrades when they are old enough.

Course to be immortal - you'd need a way to back up your mind in case you REALLY have a bad accident.

  • As to folks thinking your playing god and eliminating natural evolution. Hell that's what medicine does. If you have doctors your going to need to do some gene engineering, or your going to devolve.

  • Probably by that range of time, the tehnology that will or could be invented shall hold the ability to achive and sustain a certain level of required conditions in mikroclimate of the vessel that vould be used to transfer people physicaly to needed position or planet. There is also the tehnology of telepotring which sounds trekki but is actualy tehnology that is being explored right now and is even possible on a much smaller subatomical level, the only question that would remain.. the moral one.

  • do you think that this will happen when our bodies are fully transformed into crystalline? like, maybe, when we achieve mass ascension, we will integrate all of our bodies and become this "transhuman"...ascended and fully activated (as in the 12 strands) superhumans! i hope so :)

  • Have you ever heard of Consciouness Technology? The inherent ability of Consciousness to affect your own DNA. Think about it, everything in this world originally happens as a idea. Expound upon this my friend, Technology is only good if it assists the Consciousness in forming a new DNA from higher awareness. ET's come to mind. You have got to get dead stupid simple with this all. It's not this complicated even.

  • All human beings are born with Nature's gift of eternal life.

Human beings only die when they live outside of the Natural law.

Does any transhumanist have a properly functioning brain?

Obviously not, since they believe that the same illuminati that are depopulating are going to seriously offer them immortality.

  • @truthtrekker The one voice in this page that makes sence compared to all these other morons in here that think their shit smells sweeter then most because they have a masters degree or PHd in some useless major

  • resistance is futile

  • mankind is all over the place, a mess; and transhumanism is a fairly fuzzy concept, it lends itself to be misinterpreted in irrational and fearful terms;

    it is, in the end, merelely a transition to a posthuman state, via technological means;

i foresee (sadly) the brunt of human stupidity opposing this most desirable outcome; i just hope the intelligent people of the world manage to keep things moving forward despite all the crazies freaking out over their right to keep us all in the dark ages

  • civilisation, and we won't always be safe in our air conditioned shopping malls. I disagree about cybernetic implants, however. Not only is that taking things to far, it has an inherant weakness. Thinking technology will always be there to pull our butts out of the fire is technological escapism, and descends into the madness of techno dependancy.

  • iDeist I agree that genetic engineering is definately a good thing (longer lifespans, more intelligence, elimination of inherited dieseases, superior senses, strength, speed, durability, etc). Human beings, because of our ridiculously big brains, are tragically vulnerable to heat, cold, injury, hunger, thirst, radiation, chemicals, dieseases, etc. That needs to change. If we are going to be a space farring species, then we need to accept that we won't always be supported by an entire

  • I'm not sure if we can circumvent the Red Queen. No matter how augmented or transitory our physical bodies become, new threats which target the vulnerabilities of our new forms will arise. So long as there is competition between individuals, we will have that specter of pred/prey pushing adaptation. The internet has revolutionized our society, but it has also revolutionized crime and predation.

We are approaching a time when "anyone can kill everyone", and the demands of innovation and

  • information generation in a global economy where information generation is the new paradigm source of prosperity is going to continually force decentralization of knowledge and personal liberties. For instance, I was toying around the other day with an open-source freeware program which is basically autocad for biological systems.

The human species will go extinct or speciate beyond our current form, just like all life before us.. but we can't afford to drag our feet because the only way to

  • advance to the point where we can take control of our adaptation deliberately, rather than suffer the tyranny of natural selective forces, is to put the gun into the hands of imbeciles (humanity in general, of course - though some groups deserve special commendation).

Exciting time to be alive, isn't it?

  • Well...maybe we can create a body that has some weird combo of super genes that makes our bodies strong and we live forever.

  • I was thinking of that too, but we would still be susceptible to all type of things because of are organic nature. Im thinking more like adamantium skeletons like wolverine for starters ;]

  • Im big into science, biology chemistry and even on the other branches of science.

  • same with me. i wish i had time to research it all lol

  • einstein said if we were to use 100% of our brains wed b pure enerfgy... wouldnt need a physichal body.....tel me mate how much do people use today... ten percent.....and why.. beacues we have bn programed to use so lil of our brains....from birth...u r taught whats right wats wrong ect ect.. if we used 100% of our brain wed b able to go anywhere we wanted as wed not need to breathe coz wed b pure energy....this is jus a artificial of doing so..we can do it naturaly ...think bout it...

  • Please respond to my video response.

  • I've been saying this for years and people give me this crap about "playing god" and "creating the matrix" by "eliminating chance"...of course, I want to slap the idiots, because, quite frankly, if you wear a seatbelt, you're "creating the matrix" by "eliminating chance". Transhumanism, as you call it, is the ONLY way humanity will be able to survive indefinitely, and quite frankly, I would LOVE to live in a matrix where all negative chance could be controlled individually

  • "playing god" has been the argument given by those who oppose and reject change. It has been used in opposition of every scientific advancement in human history. The fact is that 'godhood' remains a hypothetical position, a position that even if it is true humans can never reach since they are bound by physical laws, no matter what. So anyone posing this argument is wrong.

I too understand that humanity needs an upgrade of itself in order to survive.

  • me too

  • @buzbyX well said

  • @buzbyX But by adopting transhumanism we will cease to be human but rather an assimilation of cybernetics and genetically modified flesh. And humanity can survive indefinitely through means other than transhumanism. You don't require all of this augmentation to the human structure nor the mind, evolution is nature's business. Besides, the Amish can survive on nothing more then basic farming and agricultural structures (counter example). Transhumanism is just dressed up Eugenics.

  • man that's deep, but it's kinda scary because if something goes wrong and the brain dies your screwed

  • And the brain doesn't fail on it's own?

  • I recently read the book Accelerando, good read if you're interested in Transhumanism and Singularity. It follows a couple generations of a family before, during, and after a/the technological singularity. I don't want to spoil anything, in case people haven't read it, but it is certainly one of the most plausible scifi representations of our near future, the next 50 years or so, I've ever seen.

And I think you're right, if we as a species are going to survive,we must merge with technology.

  • of course we gonna have to go through some sort of "transhumanism" a lot of people will want to live longer , be smarter, . in the future i believe its possible that humans will be talking telepathically anywhere in the world or space. not only that but they will see each other telepathically in a matrix like virtual environment.

  • No thanks.

  • iDeist...great video commentary as usual. I think we are probably a long way, as you suggest, from being able to capture human consciousness - assuming it is something that can even be done. The other thing that worries me is mental state on long space trips for example. Even if we are free of our physical needs, how do you think the mind would hold up over time? This idea could even be expanded to the larger question of our humanity as some have mentioned. Your concept makes one think!

  • This is an interesting concept you've brought up. I think there is some research being done on this now, but I think that if the idea takes hold, the religious right will do everything in its political power to ban any transhumanism research and development. Right now, they're trying to say that zygotes are human beings with full constitutional rights and have millions of dollars to promote this idea through ballot initiatives. With that type of mindset, they will be a formidable opponent.

  • As long as transhumanism stays commercial I think it will be alright. But if it's forced into a government subsidiary, then i'd be weary.

  • I totally agree with you. It is the future, and the only plausible future of our species, if we truly want to survive past the ext 1000 years.

People say it will degrade the whole "human experience" but I don't think they quite understand what the complete transhuman experience will entail!

    H+ Baby!

  • A Luddite's worst nightmare!

  • Should transhumanism be sought after regardless of the risk associated to humanity?

  • what risk

  • Should transhumanism be sought regardless of the risk to humanity?
