This is really good stuff. It's a shame they have changed, because their changes are not for the better (like interpol). On the latest CD I only like Papillon because of the addictive tune/beat. I wish they go back to this kind of music: Munich, All Sparks & Bullits.

I think the only manics album that this reminds me of is journal for plague lovers. Their early stuff was glam metal, the holy bible was a lot angrier than this, everything must go to this is my truth was britpop, and their next 3 albums were quite eclectic. I love editors and the manics, but they arent really that similar tbh.

uhm, i'd rather say they both sound too much like british/scottish post-punk bands (joy div, chameleons etc.). but i don't think this is a big deal, everyone takes inspiration from someone who came before. what' wrong if someone likes someone else's style and attitude and tries to "follow" that specific approach? i like this sound and i don't really care who has been the "first" to create it... imho :D

I think people are comparing JoyD. and Munich mostly because of the voice, the music isn't so similar to Joy Division's melodies, but the voice is really there and that influences a bit people's judgments
