@Dextear After you have the airship, and you are able to board the airship through the save sphere, just simply go to the Calm Lands and you will appear at the save sphere next to the Calm shop, move forwards and you will see the chocobo trainer there. (Note; AFTER you have the board airship feature on the savesphere)

Um, I got the Celestial Mirror, Sun Sigil, and Sun Crest, but when I go to get the sword, some dudes blocking the path. Is this a glitch or something? I was able to get down there before when I had only the dirty mirror or whatever.

dude..u have to do the final race with the "chocobo girl" (the one that teaches you how to ride a chocobo..)..then you should get a 0.00 time(dont get hit by the birds..collect more baloons during the final race)..if u manage to get that time..go quickly to the man that is blocking ur way....he's not there anymore

Talk to the dad and mother couple of times. Then the kid should be there. If that doesn't help watch the video and carefully do everything exactly as I did it

You need to talk to the mom and dad of the kid until they wonder where he is.

Celestial Mirror allows you to power up Celestial Weapons.
