  • Ahaa! I often wondered how they produced those mysterious sounds as the intro to 21st Century Schizoid Man. Thanks for the post.

  • I think it's kinda funny how King Crimson was originally an English band but now it has all American members.

  • @ContextofSalad58 Yeah.... Robert Fripp is American....

  • @Poisonnachos no he's not

  • @ContextofSalad58 I think his context was more sarcastic, lol

  • @21stCentSchizoidFan i can't really tell if someones being sarcastic if they typed it, sorry

  • @ContextofSalad58 Then you stand corrected. You said now King Crimson has all American members, but Robert Fripp (who is still in KC, obviously) isn't American.

  • @Poisonnachos he left though :(

  • @ContextofSalad58 No he didn't, he's the only remaining member.

  • @Poisonnachos Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, and Pat Mastelotto are the remaining members

  • @ContextofSalad58 No, he's the only member who has been in King Crimson from when it first formed (1969). Where did you read that Fripp left?

  • @Poisonnachos I saw them on tour, the crimcentric performance featuring stick men, power trio, and king crimson, Fripp was not there

  • @ContextofSalad58 I've been looking that up for a while, I can't find one source. Maybe he was sick?

  • @Poisonnachos

    no.

king crimson are on a hiatus since 2009.

belew, levin, mastelotto and harrison perform ocassionally but not under the name "king crimson".

two bands - "adrian belew power trio" and "stick men" perform together sometimes under the name "two of a perfect trio".in early 2000's when belew levin mastelotto and eddie jobson (the violinist who overdubbed USA album) performed in russia.but under the name "king crimson projeckt".

there was no single KC gig without fripp.

  • @turtlliwdnifuoyehthr Tell that to ContextofSalad58, not me.

  • Thank Man!!!

  • BTW, this is my first vid with 1 view! Great upload!

  • Damn... It's infinitely fascinating how these recordings took place 40+ years ago... I feel like I've traveled back in time. Imagine hearing a recording from 500 years ago... I know it's impossible but just imagine. So eerie!
