  • This seemed to be a lullaby my mother use to sing to us a lot. She was an existential and first generation Swede. Anyway, in the last ten years the meaning of that song has become more apparent. Bjork captures mom's angst. Thanks you, Bjork. [PS this was from the Gling Glo session which is ironic because mom's nick name was Glo.] Thank you poster.

  • brilliant

  • i sooo wanna do this, at karaoke!, but bjork style, just like i wanna do 'since you been gone' Robyn style... ^ ^ i still plan too.

  • She needs to do more Jazz covers!!! This is awesome!

  • :[]! Sarah Bettens covered this! Awesome <3

  • Bjork doesn't have the range for this song. Julie London could hit the low notes that this piece requires...

  • Comment removed

  • @masercot Bjork has about the same range as Streisand in this piece. And of course, Striesand had one of the best versions of this song of all time. So I don't agree with your statement. Range doesn't matter. It's all about tone and interpretation.

  • @JustSavagePlz Wow! We disagree on a singer. I am enraged...

  • I though this was going to be a timberlake cover a was pleasantly suprised.

  • beautiful!....

  • ladies and gentlemen::::::: Bjork!

  • @silferavri234 stay tuned for 'Bjork bites off someone's face'

  • muy bueno, buen pianista

  • Who's the marvelous pianist?????

  • @evaitorpabacke Gudmundar Ingólfsson from the Icelandic jazz group Gudmundar Ingólfssonar

  • Cry me a River....Genial!!!

  • @evaitorpabacke They made an amazing album together called Gling-Glo.

  • Beautiful!

  • Oh my god, I have been trying to find this song for ages (i had it on a mix cd a while ago but lost it)....thanks so much for posting!

i have the gling glo album, but was this a b-side or something? where can i buy it?

  • @ghosttownjenny These recordings are on a bootleg called Gling-Gló Live at the Hotel Borg. But I understand it is quite rare.

  • i wish the quality was just a bit better. otherwise i really enjoyed this.

  • painful.

  • te cocho pitus

  • @TheMapacheAsesino cochame bebe ke todo yutuvi se entere

  • Instinctive or worked out her ability with jazz phrasing and choice of notes is excellent, and the little flurry of blue notes at the end took it back to earth surperbly,

  • It's crazy how much I like it when Bjork does these more classic perfomances :)

  • i thought i was going to get rick rolled

  • @fillspekter ghaghahgaghaghahg!!!

  • @fillspekter rofl

  • she is so unordinary, so childish, amazing....

  • cry me a river?!!

    is it Justen's?

  • @shin7speaty No, the lyrics are totally different. This is a jazz version, which was around way before Justin Timberlakes version.

  • WOW! Fantastic! I love her voice!

  • Her vocal range is excellent.. funny how she finds it harder to hit those lower notes though. xD

  • Goergous!!1

  • She was amazing in "Dancing in the Dark."

  • @billyboylb I loved that movie. Cried a lot, though.

  • Good!! Has she done another jazz cover??

  • yeah, " Gloomy Sunday"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • search for gling glo, they're all in icelandic though

  • At least a whole long play record...

  • thanks so much for posting this! i love bjork, and it always amazes me how she can sing ANYTHING so well....such a versatile genius of a singer/composer/performer/inspirational woman! so thanks pituslandia. nice photo montage as well! she's also so freaking beautiful!!

  • ciao a tutti gli amanti di bjork

  • wow bjork that was magnificent , i just cum wooohooo

  • so special.....cool.....

  • Freakin love Bjork.

  • This is stunning.

  • do you have a download link...i can't find it and i really want this tune

  • I may be oversimplifying but some of the most brilliant, inspiring, haunting art has been a product of anger, pain, bitterness, lonliness, revolution etc.

You can't say what you've said without admitting you just, maybe, don't like her because you just don't like her. It's got nothing to do with how artistic she is or is not.

  • agreed

  • go listen to madonna, boi:) she says thanks by showing her ol' puss. If U find Bjork boring, what do You find interesting than?

  • bravoooooooo!!!

  • @Antkoff I admire both Madonna and Björk, they're VERY different, but they're the best in their kind of music. Madonna has a few stupid songs but has a lot of AMAZING songs with AMAZING lyrics. You only have to investigate some more to give an opinion like that.

  • maybe that's true. but that doesnt make her a bad artist n__n

  • eso es una pendejada

  • what the hell are you talking about?

she seems like one of the happiest people there are

    your comment makes no sense

  • mucha razon

  • Great artist in her own right, but I can't help feeling like I'm watching a little girl wearing her Mum's high-heels when I compare these cover versions to the singers of yesteryear, they were just so full and talented back then. Not to take anything away from Bjork, I think she's great.

  • Fair comment i'd say.

She has a very young image and has an innocent simple look on things.

Shes one of the greatest, creative artists of the 80's - 90's - 2000.

But yesteryear artists who do you class as yesteryeard artist someone like Nina Simone?

If so then yeah, someone like Nina Simone is un-debatable for a real music lover.

But i feel shes done some better covers than some senior artists.

  • ROFLCOPTER !

  • Everybody get older, she too. But in a smarter way

  • Hehe, she is getting older, but hey MILFs are good :)

  • yeah I'd say she's aging gracefully

  • Lawl. Just a bad photograph? She doesn't usually look like that...

  • Bjork is fantastic, too bad the quality is not that good. Check out Charlotte Rose's version - I think that's the best here on youtube.
