these r awsome for the money i got one i love it when i first got it i had issues with the shell elevator sticking so i stripped it down and sanded and smoothed out the lifting bars and it runs amazing now and does not stick at all

Excellent choice. I bought a brand new Maverick 88 18.5" barrel 5+1 2 weeks ago for $200 as well. It shoots the slugs very well. Already shot a box of #7 bird shot, a box of 00 buck shot and a box of 1oz slugs. It does just as well as my duty issue Rem. 870. I did a vid on the Mossberg Maverick 88 last week. Slugs and 00 buck are the exact reason I bought the Maverick. Good video.
