  • This exercise isn't all that great, yes you get a great pump but that's just lactic acid building up. Think about it to build muscle you want to keep your reps between 6 - 12 here your doing 21

  • This will only make your arms look "cut". Do these 21's heavy for 5- 10 sets and you will definitly see a difference in just a week. Don't do too much where you can't lift it comfortably for the first 3-4 sets.

  • @Mohit5466 you should put about 40lbs not including the curling bar if you're trying to get more ripped and about 60lbs for more mass. I do a little more on barbells, but thats about the weight I normally use doing 21's.

  • @MultiKenny1993 If you're a small guy, eat, eat, eat, train, train, train, eat, eat, eat. You need to eat a lot to gain the calories then burn them fast with training. Dumbel flyes, bench press, incline press, etc. will bulk your chest up. Remember, heavy weight, low reps.

  • @speedomike747 I have the same exact problem bro. It is actually the primary reason that my biceps lag behind while my triceps expand like crazy. During this summer I have started using hand grips, gripmasters, and wrist warm-ups in order to prepare the entire wrist/forearm region to not wear out before my biceps get a chance to fail.

    Just look up some wrist warm-ups on youtube. There are a variety of them. Just do them before lifting. Do a few big sets with hand grips a couple times a week.

    and if u wanna get buff u shouldnt rlly do cardio cuse TOO much cardio might burn muscle.... so if u wana get buff just eat alot of carbohydrates (bread pasta wtvr stuffl like that) and alot of protein and weight lift properly as much as u can u should know that part :P gl

  • Yes this exercise works GREAT with dumbbells. I have been using this exercise for 2 weeks now and I can see a big difference in my biceps

  • @dragster9393 yeah and the dumbbell must be heavy so you can really feel it not like those idoits doing fast and light weight.. all weaks.. heavy + good form + slow movement = best

  • wow, thats pretty early compared to where i live anyways, in that case if i were you i would just do pushups and stuff, there are many different variations of them that will make it challenging...next year start the weights.

  • Weight lifting does NOT stunt your growth at all. You should not start though until a little while after you hit puberty. If you start before puberty your muscles will just get toned and not bigger.

  • Well at the beginning when you start lifting, you will gain muscle FAST. This is because your muscles are confused and not used to this. After a while your muscles will get used to your workout and will grow very slowly. So, in this case you want to switch up your routine to add more muscle.
