My dad is trying his level best to scare me out of this surgery, but I need to breathe! Have you noticed any reduction in sinus infections since the operation?
@SproutConfidence YES it's been a lot better. I still get a little stuffy sometimes but I think that is more due to air quality (allergens, etc.) than anything not working correctly in my nose.
I ha the same surgery 2 days ago. No packing just lots of blood and dry crust. My teeth also hurt and so does my face. Your not swollen at all. I am black and blue. I hope the surgery was a success ^_^
@victoriajane2305 If you had a open Rhinoplasty like i did, they have to cut through the front gum nerve, which is why it hurts or is numb. It take a couple of months to heal..
I'm so irked about the anesthesia thing and then made you take the splints out? Wtf? When the doc took mine out, it made me so sick, and I'm not faint hearted. Also right after he suctioned my sinuses. It was so traumatic, worst experience ever! And I've given birth!
Remember to see an allergist before attempting turbinate surgery. Those with nasal or sinus issues are recommended to try neilmed sinurinse for at least 3 months before an considering an operation. A complication called EMPTY NOSE SYNDROME MAY OCCUR AS A RESULT OF SURGERY!!
i'm having this exact procedure in three days. i am ridiculously nervous.

@codehendrix A couple days -- once the drain tubes and packing & stuff comes out it starts getting more back to normal.
