  • How did the eflite retracts hold up? I was looking at getting an esm model, but didn't want to get the recommended retracts. I wanted to use the eflite retracts but wasn't sure if it could take the weight. It's it's

  • @denbensd Havent flown it yet. The Saito wouldnt run so now I'm looking for an engine for it. So now the ME is grounded. Lately I've been working more on FPV projects (videos soon to come)

  • I have bought the 25-45 type. I have installed them on a 46 sized p-51 mustang glow to electric conversion. I haven't flown yet. I was a little disappointed. The designers missed a small but very helpful detail. There is not enough clearance between the wire strut and the electric motor case. Trying to install shock absorbing struts, the strut hits the electric motor casing at the gear-up posittion. A file was used to trim the strut...Good retracts but the need improvement.

  • @bjtamp I had to modify my struts quite a bit to solve the exact same problem. They are pretty good gear after the clearance problem was solved. These struts and tires are pretty heavy and the E-Flite gear lift and lock them fairly easy. I'll be posting videos very soon of breaking in the engine and then its maiden flight. I have a Saito FG20 gas engine with a flex pipe (no muffler).
