there are no bunnies. Deerhoof sure isn't for anyone but since sonic youth appearence I can hardly remember anything like this. And strange enough more emerging bands are starting to use deerhoof approach to rock, so we might be listening to a new wave, even though is not new at all. I just love deerhoof is just such a joy to listen to

wtf is this shit. I figure'd I'd check this out when I read an interview that Dave Brohl said this is one of his favorite newer bands. These people are shit. Especially that asian chick. They're singing about bunnies and their music video is cows turning into turds. What the hell. The other music vids I saw where also that asian girl saying random sentences with a title that makes no sense.
I think I finally got it. It is rock music deconstructed. Rather than simply being atonal and experimental like Sonic Youth, an overarching theme of the music is to inject silliness and interrupt consciousness, thereby confusing the traditional roles of rock group and audience; the marginal become the majority and vice versa, the spectator becomes something else. I dunno.
@claud182 get runners four if you like 70s punk psychedelia, get offend maggie if you like clever pop turned on itself, and get apple o if you really enjoy deerhoof's experimental stuff. friend opportunity and deerhoof vs evil is also really good.
This kind of music is closer to sanity..I really like it more than posturing "important" music. I love "Spy on You" by deerhoof it is so relevant to my actual life (and my cat's!)lol. Did they just film that one in one of the group member's apartments?..if so, awesome. This vid must be about how we turn animals into meat and cannibals. I just found out about deerhoof and am very happy!

I know, I was being a jerk. Deerhoof isn't for everyone. I'm selective with what I listen to of their's, so I can understand your not liking them.
