This song and 'Abandoned By Love' (the latter a pretty well obscure NZ hit somewhere in the '85/'86 period, two of the greatest New Zealand rock songs ever written. Also 'Diamonds On China' from late 1985 is a catchy but popular hit, taking me (plus the others I've mentioned) back to the good old days of the early/mid 80's
Sorry to those who have fond memories but for me this will always be a cold, calculated 'Vienna' wanna-be by a pack of professional pub-rock fuglies. The video has bad acting, worse special effects (oh yeah, all the bands wanted to look ultra-wide), and Gary Numan wants his 'mysterious' glowing pyramid back.
Great song! I still have the single! It was available on audio galaxy free before the record thieves/companies shut them down.Paid one greedy band to sue napster!
Wow! Been looking for this 80's timeless classic for a LONG time, as didn't know who sung it. Stumbled across it being played on Classic Hits Radio and their website listed the name! Unbelievable to learn it is actually from a Kiwi band. What talent! This song could have been a HUGE hit in the 80's if they had more international exposure. I love this!
My boyfriend asked me to find this song for him after he heard it while on hold with the IRD from Australia. He reckons people would enjoy calling the IRD if they played music like this! He remembered it from his Kiwi childhood. We've tried to get a copy of it but it's not on iTunes or even LastFM. Anyone know who might have it? Thanks for the clip - we couldn't hear it again without calling the IRD (this way is much nicer).
No way thats where I heard it from IRD in NZ and it took me back years. I tried to google and everything but I didnt know who sung. Thenit came to me and hour ago.
this still goes right to my heat, the same as it did the first time I heard it when i was 16 in 1983, it reminds me of a certain girl, she knows who she is...
I cant be alone in thinking that this is perhaps the most underrated Kiwi classic? Every time I hear this song I cant get over how good it is! And unlike much of the Kiwi music from this era it has aged well. It still sounds great! I absolutely love this song!

It is on a compilation CD called Kiwi Classics, Vol 5. I think it might be a new CD release. I have ordered it! Good luck finding it.
