  • aren't they scared of getting lost?

  • 4:20

  • they need a minimap

  • Crack jokes*

  • Jokes*

  • I hate people who just crack cuz they are too stupid to comprehend something like this and can't give a reasonable explanation so they resort to verbal attack.

  • I wonder what is at the bottom of the catacombs... Maybe it is "The Gate to Hell" Who will find out?

  • The lost man probably died from being lost. He could've killed himself from fear, or he may have found a way out, however, this is very unlikely. My guess is he died, just as the Catocombs guy said. And @corbinlandreth Yes it would be, especially the lost man. O_O

  • @pot..retarded "fashion"

  • its the chamber of secrets!

  • Standing in that mass grave, simply watching it disconcerts me.

  • You guys all forget that the camera was dropped. Also a man can live 2 days without water, so maybe, he found a way out but is traumatised and afraid to talk abaut it. The things he might have seen are probably shocking.

  • Err well someone must be able to take them to where the cam was found, TE PERSON WHO FOUND IT! I think its a fake, the guy coming in there to retrieve the cam surely is aquintened with the catacombs.. But no mention of him/her, probably because there are noone and that whole crap is fake.. Seriously the find a figure matching the one on the film? seriously, with the same amount of passages as there is roads? I've been to Paris and find this hard to believe hehe

  • @TTillahFK It's real do your own research. Obviously you can't fathom the terror and dangor of that place, it's a risk going in there let alone traveling even further after 12 hours.....

  • Tihihi she says catacombs in a retarded fashion.

  • @InfectedMine lol, the real scary thing down there is a creeper xD

  • whoever closed the man hole is an asshole lmao

  • i feel clostrofobic now i would be so scared when the man holke wasnt opend

  • 1 dislike. the guy that got lost

  • @Kumakerotan01 So he escaped

  • I'm thinking.... "Who placed those bones on the floor in the shape of an arrow? And, who arrowed the walls down there?" Apparently, someone knew how to get through there.

  • (drops the camera and it films his feet running away) OH SHIT I FORGOT TO SET MY RECORDER TIMMER I AM GOING TO MISS THE FOOT BALL GAME.

(drops the camera and it films his feet running away) Oh man I forgot to turn off my Iron.

(drops the camera and it films his feet running away) HOLY CRAP I ALMOST FORGOT THERE IS A 50 PERCENT OFF ANYTHING AT SEARS

(drops the camera and it films his feet running away) OH MAN I GOT TO GO TO BATHROOM I SHOULD HAVE NOT HAD THOSE 50 BURRITOS.

  • I would probably go in the catacombs. But with at least 4 people and extra flashlights and batteries. Try to reach the 7th level.

  • I don't think I would want to go down there, it looks so spooky. Can't see your hand in front of your face. And if your flashlight goes out, your dead. Its like testing your fate. And walking on all those bones of the dead, so disrespectful. But then again, I'm sure it's illegal to go down where they went. But I guess if I went on a tour of the catacombs it would be interesting. So much history in that place.

  • God Damn!!! They should make this into some sort of scary movie I would pay $20 just to see it.

  • Reminds me of playing Diablo games.

  • I think the scariest thing to happen to them would be actually finding this lost guy, still walking around lost!

  • Entertaining if you've never been into the Paris Catacombs. If you have been, this is an obvious fabrication. There's nothing mysterious about why the bones are there, and it's also a huge tourist attraction with well marked entrances and exits. Trying to make this 'mysterious' is kind of like breaking into Disneyland and getting freaked out by Mickey Mouse. Oh, and it seems pretty clear that they made the 'mysterious' recording themselves at the same time they went down there.

  • @emilyhorch only certain areas are open to the public, do your research before judging. The majority of the catacombs are not open to the public and it is illegal to enter in those places.

  • @emilyhorch

They weren't solving that "mystery", they were trying to solve the mystery of where the guy went who disappeared down there.

  • @emilyhorch You are wrong. The part that is opened to public (1.7 kilometer) is less than 5% of the actual catacombs (often referred to as the mines of Paris). They are, in fact, a network of many different ossuaries related by different levels of path, forming a real labyrinth. Together, the mines and galleries would run for approximately 280 kilometers.

  • I pity the camera man. Carrying a big thing on his shoulder for hrs but yet said nothing.

  • If it was me, i would have brought chalks and draw and arrow on every single wall i walked past in order not to get lost in that maze. And of cos, LOTS of torches/batteries(and candles n lighters just in case the torches n batteries died).

  • the guy that got lost...disliked this video.

  • That fucking midget psychic of poltergiest does my head in that voice is so annoying, i would love to know who had the idea of getting her to narrate this series cos they want sacking. Bloody annoying and irritating.

  • this video is very suspicious. nobody would go down there without a map. or knowing where they are going. plus how in the hell did they know the exact place he was just by looking at a map...highly suspect.... but still pretty damn scary

  • They should of brought one of those million candle light spot lights O.O..

  • If i was down in the Paris Catacombs i would not drop my only light source. I don't think anyone would drop it. Without a light source it would be very difficult to find your way out. I think the original footage was fake, created for the show.

  • @u565717 yeah, unless the person was paniking totally, but even then, its like you say.

  • @u565717 - I think the lost man had torch(s). No one would go into the catacombs with just a camcorder.

  • omg i feel sooo sorry for the lost man=(

  • did they find the man ever????????/

  • We should just have a mass entry and have like.. 10000 people enter the catacombs and party

  • fuck going down there! lol.

  • this is like the movie "the descent" :] they just need crawlers to attack them :]

  • wait but then...how did anyone find the camcorder?

  • why are there corpses like why and why are there tunnells....

  • this is why you bring LED flashlights..much much longer battery life..

  • fake because:

-the man never shows his face or talks in the video

-the friend with the blue long sleeve shirt has the same length sleeve as the man in the video

-of all the miles and different hallways, they find the same bones and signs

-for francis to get the tape and have all the similarities with, its too much of a coincidence

-why would someone drop the camera

-how would francis get the tape

  • @abcsmoshed I agree with you man... If the camera is the only source of light he had, then why did he dropped it? If I was in his position, I would never drop the camera.. Its my only source of vision inside those tunnels.. but then again dude, maybe its real???.. He may have panic so much that he dropped the camera and took off.

  • you found the gate to hell? man you come near my house again im gonna bitchsmack you straight to it!

  • rescuer1 : hey my flashlight just died

rescuer 2: hey its cool i brought extra

*switches batteries and turns on light*

    lost explorer: BOO!!!

rescuer1: Damn, that muthafucka done made me cry :(

  • the narator sounds like a 90 year old chain smoker

  • the stupid "scary noises" sound effects kinda ruin the video

  • wouldn't it be the scariest thing to find someone else actually just walking around down there...

  • @corbinlandreth trying to find a way out probably not.

  • @corbinlandreth or the corpse of the dead guy they re looking for

  • @corbinlandreth hahahahah I know you posted 4 months ago but I had to reply, if I was walking around down there alone and bumped into someone else I would be like "hey, did you bring a gps system with you, or kfc I am fucking starving".

  • I mean its obviouse that the guys dead his only source of light was a camcorder and he droped that...he probably kept running and later realized it was pitch dark and ran back looking for his cam wich he probably got even more lost and eventually just gave up and sat there waiting for death....

  • ive seen this vid plenty of times always have that little dought saying "what if it is real...scarry to get lost in there." never noticed that before...u see the guy walk away after the camera drops...

  • things that i dont like...

    1. the annoying girl trying to act scary with the narration

    2. the catacombs

    still fawking scary

  • i live in paris and i have seen the catacombs it is much scaryer in person

  • How did they get back out? Who knows...

  • @xJaykee problably they had a map, and they marked the way with an line

  • i wonder if they could use like ground penetrating radar or something. for how advanced we are we should be able to find out something about the guy :(

  • Why would someone go there alone! Must be really brave

  • why didnt they just fucking put torches everywhere , DUmshits!!!

  • Just NUKE THE WHOLE GOD DAMNED THING!. Blow it into orbit, its the only way to be sure. Sure Paris will collapse with it...but... its a burden im willing to take...

  • The little girl's voice is annoying

  • i think it would have been extremely difficult and very dangerous to fake this.

  • @chopin999 No way. I go into the catacombs and this is the most exaggerated shit ever. Hell, I go there to drink and picnic with friends. I take naps too.

  • I'd use a video camera with a rewind option so i can slowly play back my footsteps if i ever need to back track. Use it like a map.

  • If u r scared of ur battery goin ded then either

    A. Bring like 12 batterys

    B. Bring like 20 torches

    C. Bring Wind up torches.

  • @frishcanmishca D. or all of the above.

  • @frishcanmishca bring live fire aswell,,

  • @frishcanmishca You forgot one more

    D. Bring your own homemade Sun

  • @frishcanmishca and a diamond pickaxe

  • @PungiFungi theres water in there it could of drifted to the top where someone could of found it

  • This is silly. The guy was a noob, he wouldn't hzve crawled through tiny little holes.

  • I'm calling BS. I think that Francis guy made the original "found footage". I mean we're given no info about it, not when it was found or who found it, just that it was found. So yeah, bull.

  • @89klk

I agree. How convenient we never see the man's face on the tape.

  • @89klk Definitely. What are the odds they'd just happen to find the same wall markings by chance on their way out? I'm sure they made the tape while they we're down there.

  • @redsquarenine no these places are actually very known to cataphiles....all these drawings and shit are marked on maps...a dutch filmmaker went in there with unknown cataphiles and went the deepest ever...they went so deep that there was water...its the deepest you can go...from there its fludded...if you want i can send you the link to the videos...?

  • NO DISLIKE! Huh?! :o ... (after the video) i see i see

  • in the very south of my country (the netherlands) there are marl stone caves. if you enter without light, you're screwed! there are giant pillars in there. you'd be walking in circles without even knowing it! two boys escaped from boarding school and ran into the caves. they got lost and a tour guide found them dead with the fingertops scraped off from trying to find their way out....

  • it is weird to think about how beautiful Paris is and that it looks like this underground..

  • @NicoleNiki0403 I guess every city has a dark site...

  • You see, it's all about electric power! If we somehow have the technology to create never ending power, we could search on and on without worrying about plunging into darkness

  • @lunarstone101 Did you ever think that MAYBE you could actually get LOST down there? *Gasps*

  • Everyone who goes down there should always create some signs on the walls and who knows, in the future, we might easily navigate these tombs.

  • @lunarstone101 There's actually legends that signs made literally 10 minutes before disappear.

  • @Lolwutzers O_O Creepy...

  • The gate to hell eh...I was expecting more fire and brimstone.

  • Anyone with common sense would realise it's a bad idea to keep going when you have to crawl down holes.

  • they guy who ran obviously let his imagination get the better of him, hell i would. I run up the stairs when i'm at home by myself let a lone in 300 ft below ground

  • @jellyfishslapper

yeah he did, without saying that place have probably some spiritual activity too, that made him scared after hearing something.

  • @jellyfishslapper LOL I ran up the stairs all the time when I still lived with my parents. the strange thing is after my grandpa died, that scary feeling in my back when I went up the stairs was totally gone! it makes me wonder....

  • i would bring a REALLY really long rope, and keep going till it runs out, then once that happens, haul some ass back and try again a different path again, or justkeep bringing lots and lots of rope

  • To @koolboi2066, I don't think you can get into the catacombs from any manhole. There are manholes all over the city of Paris (I grew up there) and the Catacombs (officially called The Mines of Paris) are abandoned tunnels, as seen here in the video, predominantly on the Left Bank of the city, which is the southern end. You can also enter the catacombs through the sewers and certain unused subway tunnels, but the officials try to close them down.

  • wow.. I really wonder where did that first guy who dropped his video cam corder go? ps: gate to hell?? How do those bones of humans are being stacked there?

  • I just have an idea: The govt should hook electrical light through out the tunnels just do it as far as they could.

  • There should be missing case reported to the police! If they could show the camera on TV, some one could be that guy's family show up and prove info!

  • Just let that French idiot died! If he's brave enough, he'll eventually get out by himself. What a waste of man power to search for an idiot.

  • @NgJackal1990 Bet you wouldn't be saying that if it was you lost down there would you? Moron.

  • @BlackKanano HAHA what the hell are you talking about? I would never go down there!

  • Simple way to combat getting lost, bring string... and five spare bateries and a wind-up light... and maybe a few days worth of food... hrm... maybe not as simple as i thought... ohhhhhh and a map :)

  • I think that the first thing ANYBODY, whether they're amateur or professional catacombs explorers is to TELL at least two different people and write a VISIBLE note for each person that you are going down there, and that if you aren't back by x time then that means that you are in big shit and need to be rescued.

  • I don't even care if this was staged or not. This footage gave me chills. If there really did exist a gate to hell, these catacombs would be the place to find it.

  • @GallifreyanWolf tourists can go there are sections open to public i've been down.

  • @GallifreyanWolf , in that case who WERE these people? What about some names and faces? So basically there is really no back-up info or verification of the authenticity of this video. The discovery of this video would have made front page news, I'd think, at least in Paris...were there any media coverage? I am beginning to think this video is one big hoax.

  • @PungiFungi Scariest places on earth have been known for fabrications. Watch the vid bout the jersey devil then go to the webpage featured in the video and check what they said bout their appearance on the show

  • @themaster8902 , yeah, as I thought, phoney baloney vid. If I was lost in the catacombs and being chased by something, why would I ditch my only light source?

  • @GallifreyanWolf yeah just find the longest ropes and just keep on tying them, You would do that if you didn't want to parish in their mate!!

  • that place is Hell

  • @AonaranMan So you like things that copies off movies? Then you will love The Day the Earth Stood Still. :)

  • Why didn't they use a rope fo find their way back?

  • You could make a good screamer out of that POV vid of the lost guy,

  • BTW, WHO found that video camera and what were THEY doing this deep in the catacombs to begin wtih?

  • @PungiFungi there are catacomb explorers who try and map out the tunnels

  • @themaster8902 stupid urban explorers is exact.

  • @NgJackal1990 I agree with you there. No way would i go down there and im the sort of person that would stay in a haunted castle all night alone lol

  • @PungiFungi , well again, no names or faces associated with the people who discovered this film. If I were lost in the catacombs and being chased, I wouldn't drop my camera and go bumbling in the dark.

  • @PungiFungi Unless you were scared by some unusual appearance :-p

  • @PungiFungi It's probably the cataflics, special police patrol in the catacomb.

  • @PungiFungi I was wondering the same thing.....

  • @black4pienus , some people said they were explorers too, but as far as I know, there are no names attached to the discovery of this video, so I am inclinded to said this video is bullcrap.

  • @PungiFungi are you checking the right websites?

  • @PungiFungi Catacomb explorers if you watched episode oone......

  • @PungiFungi they said that in part 1, a cataphile, sort of catacomb freak found it while exploring

  • @PungiFungi those guys are just young guys who ecplore there and just chill there with friends...but watch out for hobo orgies...seriously...they sold the camera to the documentarist...

  • @PungiFungi did you even watch part 1?

  • @HANWIND100 , I saw the whole thing. They said it was found by some people exploring the catacombs and yet there were no names or faces attached to it. Nothing to verify it.

  • @PungiFungi i think they probably wanted to protect their identities

  • @PungiFungi like they said, it was a person exploring the catacombs

  • @ichigo73186 , well, anybody can make whatever claim they want to.

  • @PungiFungi Exactly!

  • Being over 300ft below street level, on your own, in 400miles of vast pitch black tunnels would be enough to make anyone incredibly scared. So if this was at first intended as a hoax I think the man in the video got way out of his depth, got lost, got scared and panicked. If it took those explorers/scientists 6 hours to get out of there then that man had no chance.

  • That's gotta be scripted. There's no way you'd be down there without five hundred bajillion duracells stashed in your pack. No way.

  • @rohirrim11rider A duracell battery lasts well over 24 hours...They wouldnt even need to bring an extra battery with them at all.

  • @rohirrim11rider To be honest, some people simply do not think of things like that ahead of time. It was probably an amateur who didn't take the warnings of getting utterly lost to heart until he was deep inside the catacombs. He then realized it and completely panicked.

  • i can't stand it... why do cave hunters or ppl who go in dark ass places never ever bring enough lights?? crazy silly if u ask me...

thanks for the uploads your the best :)

  • If I were going in, I would have taken a few extra items for lights as backups and supplies: 1x4D-cell 10watt LED flashlight of which I have with four sets of batteries, one LED lantern with two spare battery sets, one self-generator/shaker flashlight for renewable light, twelve 6-hour white emergency glowsticks, three days water, two days food rations.

Looks like the amateur lost his main flashlight and the camera mounted one wasn't enough so he got scared and ran in a panic.

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperGirl440 It's kind of sad how it looks like they're bodies were just thrown there so disrespectfully.

  • id never go in there and y would you go so far down idiots and have extra batteries might be a good idea or oxygen tanks

  • i want to see these things to but with somebody else , but i don't believe there's somebody who kills the people but i don't know why the men was running but he was scared mamby someone followd him ???

  • @mattisbefie I think if there was another person who followed him we would see another pair of feet running away or towards that person.

  • it could very well be one of the many gateways to hell.

  • Why the fuck would the lost man would drop the fuckin camera...he would probably need it for lights

  • oneness christians were the ones getting persecuted by the catholics because thay were Jesus name believers and thay denied the false trinity doctrine. truth hurts though. catholics were murderers from the getgo.

  • I wonder if, with our new technology & whatnot, they can go down there & figure out what happened to the guy.

  • y did the guy drop his camera??....something tells me he might of gotten out or maybe not

  • @stephiepinay17 Panic. Pure, unadulterated panic.

  • no one would Ever get me down there... and i mean NEVER!

  • I seriously think that the Paris Catacombs is the scariest place on Earth...I mean what could be more distubring that a giant underground graveyard with dead bodies all around?? Seriously I admire this guy

  • that team was lucky they made it out of there. They ran the risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide and other gases on top of the potential for getting lost.

  • This is the most fucked up shit i've ever seen. That guy is real brave

  • pff...if you're afraid of bones, better not be a paleontologist.

  • What happended in there???

  • i don't think its 322 feet below because they will need such oxygen in there, even miners can breathe out that deep if they don't have machine that can supply oxygen. and they must be sweating because its very hot when you get down there. i believe they made it but not a deep as 322 feet.

  • Fuck That Shit! I hate getting lost anywhere. Big cities are take it too far for me. I panic. Phillidelphia is my worst experience. Just driving around a bunch of one way roads. It was more frustrating than scary. I was worried about missing a concert, the one time. The other time was same city, believe it or not, but on the outskirts. I was leaving my cousin's party on Halloween night and got turned around. Its just agravating. Never would I fuck around with tunnels like that.

  • @sidewaysonhighways same got lost in London it was awful :( but we eventually found a subway station so all was good :)

  • @ThornoftheRose1993 I remember when I was in Plillidelphia. I found myself driving over the cobblestone road infron of Independence Hall. That place is scary looking at night. I'll bet there is some scary shit going on inside. If not there, definitley Eastern State Penatentary. I could almost challenge my dad, who I dont think believes in the paranormal, if he would go inside Eastern state alone or at all. I bet you he would decline.

  • @sidewaysonhighways I lived in Westchester for a while and me and my friends would go by there alot, it's a spooky ass place!

  • who found the camera of the lost guy?

  • @Kamelot19 a catacomb explorer

  • @Kamelot19 i am wondering the same thing ........ all thought i believe that this is true

  • OMG, Who the hell goes 212 feet below street level? That's just ridiculous. Common sense says don't go down there when you don't know where you're going. O_O

  • @DeejayRin Unfortunately there are many, many people on this planet who lack common sense, or whose common sense takes a backseat to adventure.
