@MalachiteR The way I see it is always more than that. Kinda the way Maetel was to Tetsuro in Galaxy Express 999. It starts out like using them, then love happens. They might not even end up together, but it's still the most definitive moment of their young lives. And I can't remember word for word but Maetel's goodbye to Tetsuro is what I'm going for. The two endings strike similar chords to me.

Why are Pariah's interpretations so highly rated? yes, they have lots of validity, but they only scratch the surface of FLCL's poetry. Each character goes way deeper than a few words can describe. In fact it would take longer to write a complete character analysis than the 3hrs it takes to watch the series.

Its like everyone liking a comment that summarizes Harry Potter as "a book about wizards"

Man, awsome job. What sold me on this anime had to be the dialog, it was so random that I never compleatly understood what they were saying, but always knew what they were meaning. The only thing I didnt really like was it was based off the real world, if they made their own world this would have been perfect for me, although baseing it on the ral world had its charms. There were only 6 episodes because the creators realized that the fans would become overly in love with this anime. In the end, they failed at stopping many otaku!
