@jaschier I know what you mean. All the final fantasies do that in some respect. But I agree, for certain people, there is definitely one that sticks out the most to them, (depending on when you played it and what you were going through in life at the time). It gives a feeling of being humbled by a world of wonder and the adventures and history that you go through in the game remain with you for years and years. One keeps it with them as if they were actually part of it in the game.

I honestly believe that these kinds of games can help one's imagination grow towards limitless proportions. The characters you encounter in these games, stay with you as well. Even though they are not real, their traits and emotions conveyed to you through the game are, and can be attributed to the people you meet everyday in life.

Final Fantasy 9 is definaltly my favorite in the series, but i JUST wish it would have ended somewhat different. i mean the ending was perfect, but i wish garnet and zidane would have said i love you, to each other, and kissed or something a little bit more

You don't hear "I love you" or anything, but It does look like at the end of the last scene that they kiss each other. No way to know for sure sadly. I think the way they presented it was great though. I can't really think of a happier ending =) and I agree with konaami's comment.

I admit, the battle system was good. My problem was, HOW can you be hit by s SWORD when your several feet away from the enemy, completely out of range? But I also like the looks of the battle system for FF13- its a mixture of the ATB and the battle system used in 12, and I havent played 11 but i think it was used there too

Well FF12 was another planet (ivalice) with different races / summons, so the atmospere was not the same imo.

also the story was weaker compared to other FF games.

so even without regard to the combat system ff12 was worse thanh other FFs
