I am joining The Army after High School. Infantry. I hope I score high enough on the ASVAB to make Rangers which I think is a 50 or better. Wish me luck guys I am going to need it. Just to let you know I made a 43.01 on the practice ASVAB.
It takes something in somebody to motivate them. To achieve something great. To know the feeling of victory and overcoming the worst. Every person that serves my country took what ever motivated them to do it and turned it into a future, a weapon, and a life. Games are nothing to real life. Once you go out there and you die there is no spawning back in. I would give every person that served my country a handshake and a hug if I could. I am joining the Army to be an infantryman. I sit here with 15 official military photos from the last 3 generations, 6 wars,countless campaigns crossing all branches of service. I am sorry but I don't want these COD kids near any of My Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, or Marines because they are likely to get themselves and everyone around them killed. Say pat them on the back for doing something. They are not doing anything, they are playing a game. Run 2 miles a day, do obstacle courses, join JR ROTC, that will prepare them for the military.

@LILG24222 You sir have I very legit point. Just because you play a war game doesn't mean you can go to war. There is alot of battle hardened soldiers out there who can't sleep and seek mental help for the things that they have seen.. Me I know I can make it in the Army I just fear that I won't be able to handle the things I may see. I'm not in the military yet but I'm hoping to be leaving this up coming summer to follow in my fathers footsteps. I'm joining because I want to and I need to.

@LILG24222 I agree with you, but I've heard Battlefield 3 is a pretty realistic depiction of battle (except for some game elements like regenerating health, though they handle it well with the med kits) from my friend who said he heard it from people who have fought in battles, do you think so?
