im pretty sure that you get about 15 seconds (don't quote me on the time) to look at the cube and look at where all the colors are.

then you solve.

Well, it may be easy to follow, but it is harder to move from that to faster methods.

Dan Brown steps: Cross on top, Corners, Edges, Orient edges, Permute edges, Permute corners, Orient corners.

Jessica Fridrich steps: cross on any side (personal preference), First two layers, OLL, PLL.

Theres a very big difference in steps, so it's a big move. You make a good point Connorcuber.

I can tell it's a PLL skip especially because of the way you look at the last layer after it's oriented and then put down the cube. I got a new personal best of 15.4 seconds recently (strangely, with no skips) and am getting sub-20 solves more often (like, once every three or four days :D ).

Dan, if I had 10.59 I wouldn't look so depressed afterwards... Why the long face? Too bad I wasn't there to see it more clearly than on YouTube. Last night I dreamt I solved a cube on stage in 9 seconds (26 moves, LL skip) and then took 4 seconds to realize it was solved. I had 13.77, boy was that an accurate dream. Oh and extremely well done. I hope you get lots of press!
