I don't understand the hate epidemic. Why are people out there so angry and miserable that they feel the need to bring others down? This hate is what is being taught to kids these day. @SerenityRecovers Hi there, I was torn in pieces when I heard this story. I'm 35 years old I grew up in the 80's in one of the toughest places around, Northern Ireland. I was beaten and abused for being Bisexual. When I see tragedies like Jamey it reminds me of the pain of those times, I may forgive, but I haven't forgotten. A year ago I made a conscious choice, I left my technology career to pursue a BA in counselling. I am going to use my experiences to help LGBT people in these situations.

I’m almost 30 now, but I got bullied in school horribly: on all levels. I’m not gay, but I was getting bullied for everything and anything. I would have gum thrown in my hair daily, people smacking me around, name calling, and so on. This went on the entire time that I was in schooling.

I reported it to the school numerous times, but they would not do anything. I did think about suicide, because things were bad at home too.
